I've been an Object Desktop subscriber for more than 10 years. My favorite program is WindowBlinds and I continue to change themes often. My next favorite is Iconpackager, you can't change your WindowBlinds theme without changing the icons!! My next favorite is DeskScapes, although when I'm using it my monitor periodically flashes on and off despite having 9 gigs of RAM and a discrete graphics card (usually drives me nuts and I have to uninstall DeskScapes).&n

I just bought a new Chromebook, and Intel Pentium is on a sticker near the keyboard. I'm assuming this is affected and would be considered Linux? It's still within the return period and I'm considering just returning it and waiting until the perfected chips are being used in new devices.
You are so right, it is amazing software!! [e digicons]:sun:[/e]
I'm glad it's not just me having trouble with CursorFX. I'm running version 1703, OS build 15063. When I bring up the CursorFX Control Panel, it becomes unresponsive and I have to close it with the Task Manager. If I immediately open the Control Panel again, everything is fine and I can select another cursor without any issue.
Hi tortoise14, My laptop recently updated Windows 10 and I had the exact same problem, the Control Panel crashed when I opened it. I've updated at least ten computers to the latest Creators Edition of Windows 10, and the only one I had a problem with is my laptop. I don't think it's Windowblinds that is causing the issue. My desktop is running the same version of Windows 10, and the Control Panel works perfectly. I have Windowblinds running on both syst
I'm so glad that it's not just me with this problem!! It's been driving me nuts too!!
I have to agree with PoSmedley. I won't be renewing my Object Desktop subscription without Iconpackager and possibly Soundpackager. I've been using at least those three necessities for years.
RedneckDude is right, in my research I've found that these "product keys" that programs produce are just generic. Windows 10 writes the license into the mother board. I guess if you replace your mother board then you have a problem, but not hard drives.
I'll chime in and agree that as a paying member I don't appreciate this nonsense either.
Just yesterday, I was working with the question of which browser to use. I've been using the 64-bit version of Chrome, but it seemed a little slow. In the morning, I was working with Opera and the afternoon with Fire Fox. I've used Pale Moon for years, but need syncing between all devices, and PM lacks in this department. I read that Opera is now using the Chromium code, but I liked it and it seemed speedier. But, if these browsers are all going to use Ch
Thank you very much for this WindowBlinds update! It's nice to have a working FireFox again (it's been a long time)! Just a note that I updated both my desktop and laptop with Object Desktop Manager and the process completed successfully (Windows 8.1).
Sorry to hear some people are having issues. Before updating today, I disabled AVG and Malwarebytes. Both ODM and WindowBlinds are reporting version 8.09. Haven't noticed any issues here so far on Windows 8.1.
From what I see, this only affects Windows 7 service pack 1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. Microsoft is saying to leave the update if your operating system is something different.
Wow, this is such a wonderful Christmas present!! My subscription to Object Desktop was going to expire next month, so this was perfect timing! Thank you so much, and Happy Holidays!! [e digicons]:w00t:[/e]
I hope they never require those stupid wrist bands. If they think I'd wear a plastic or rubber band around my wrist, they would be wrong.
Can you please include AzDude's Halloween 2014 dream? It's my favorite! https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/dream/5907/
Thank you, Island Dog! I very much prefer to pay for Object Desktop with a yearly subscription like I've done each year for the last six years.
I would like better voice control built into every aspect. I love how Google has integrated voice into all the important tasks for me on my Samsung S4, and it works great. I'd love to easily use my voice on my desktop. It works now, but is very clunky and many times gets what I say wrong.
I just wanted to put in my "2 cents." I'm running Windows 8.1 and have 398 WindowBlinds skins, as I've had this program for several years. Most are not listed as compatible for Windows 8, but they look great to me! But then I'm not that picky. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
If you are using Win8.1 with WB please do not install the optional update in the list until after you upgrade WB to the latest files which will be out on Wednesday. The automatic ones should be fine, just avoid the optional one for now.
Thank you, Neil, for your reply! I updated all 33 updates and the optional KB2955164 update, and received a black screen after entering my PIN. I tried many different f
Thank you for the suggestions! I tried went to skin defined colors, tooltip text and changed the color to blue and so far that has worked great! Thank you again!
Hi! There are so many wonderful windowblind skins, but some have just an issue or two. The Easter skin, for example, is very useable except for when I mouse over a button, the box that comes up has a white background and yellow font color, making it very unreadable. I would like to either change the white background to blue or the yellow font to blue. I've been in the latest version of SkinStudio, but not sure where these exact settings are located. Any
I love the idea; however, I don't see them overcoming all the issues to successfully implement this shipping method countrywide.
I got a Nikon D5100 DSLR camera with regular lens and a telephoto lens for $499 at Walmart. Guess it's $1,000 normally.
Hi all, thought I'd join the discussion. I love Windows 8. I've installed it on my desktop, my laptop, my dad's laptop, my mom's laptop, my sister's computers, and most of my clients. Everyone has been liking it better than Windows 7. Instead of everyone having to press the start button, programs, all programs, the desired software folder, and then the software we want to use, we simply single click the desired tile on the Start screen.
