Mabye this is just fallout from Demigod not fufilling the needs of competetive players? The people who would want to play 92% stat games are gone. Left are the casual players who simply wjust don't want to play with people who are going to make games unfun for them. For example in HoN, stat's play just as much of a burden on someone with high stats trying to get in a random game. Yet there are games going on specifically with people with those stats that will kick anyone out who do no
there's roughly 1,300 (rounding down) players online currently. not bad for a thursday afternoon (GMT) really as long as there some players i'll be happy, not in it to be OMG UBER and not really a fan of that mentality. the OP's made some good points, but the way he's framed is just grating.
I don't understand, other than my rant against the fact that promised demigods have been taking forever to be put
I neither want you guys to play hon, nor care. Nor is it an axe to grind. I came back here after months of playing and said what it is that HoN has for a Battle Arena type game (which demigod is a part of the genre), that are necessary features for me to want to play Demigod. Demigod is a multiplayer game that is lacking multiplayer features, features I listed, features which without make me not want to play? I stated I wasn't speaking of Demigods gameplay, nor HoN's, so I don't know how anyo
1) I never did have many 5v5s in demigod, ultimately someone would crash or be kicked out due to lag, and the game would be stupid. Having to stick to 3v3s just because the game doesn't seem to able to handle 5v5s with the choice in network code is also another big deal why people probably quit. HoN hosts all games on their own servers, which is a much better solution. 2) Almost all my disconnection issues were _crashes_ with Demigod, reconnection is necessary just because the code in
I played demigod addictively for about 3 months after it shipped. Good premise, fun multiplayer, alas few problems at beginning. My question is, how many of the players who prebought the game are still around? The clan I was apart of pretty much have all quit, and think the game is dead. I don't care if you still have new players, etc, how many actually stay? Anyways, so I quit, and it's really simple why. For anyone wondering, I play HoN exclusively now, which is exactly Dota
So if someones sim speed is 1/0 and we start lagging at endgame alot, is it his fault... especially since there is no ping spiking going on?
I've seen a player able to stay up competatively. They farm the creeps that come closer to base, and farm the farther ones with that item. Not saying its good, but it is possible to keep ur reg out of trouble while u farm.
There's an item that deals 250 dmg and makes creeps fly in the air. You can farm from base with it.
XP Wise whats each creep wave generate?
Sedna doesn't do damage, who woulda thunk :X
You can kill all reguluses by putting a few QoTs on your team. The bramble shield negates a snipe spam :p. Also just put hp items on and get heart of life. Kill regulus often, other than snipe before endgame he's pretty shitty. This is like saying 5 spitting ubs or 5 fireballing tb's is OP (and they all do way more damage than snipe)
This is how you beat sedna. Out farm her, out level her, and make her fight you at the towers. AS TB you never need to fight her on her terms, you can farm from afar with rain of ice, and you can beat her behind a tower if you do it right. Furthermore you can kill her tower out of her melee range, while she's helpless to kill your towers. When you do fight her, getting deep freeze up to a respectable level to increase her heal cooldown or actually interrupt it are great too.</
I use pretty much the same "build" with erebus every game I play, and it works. Sure I don't always buy the same num of cap locks, or mabye one item is off, but the skill progression and general items I have are the same. So yes, builds do work.
22 I've played numerous games including Shattered Galaxy, Eve Online, Warhammer Online, and dota. Yes Yes I'm a great learner, and a great teamplayer. I strive to improve myself always, and try to find my role in a team. Given demigod is a great team game, I feel that these qualities are what yo
I guess the stuns could be split into two trees too. Silences, and roots. Also things like stuns can break on damage, or they should have a short immunity after the first cast. I think 30 seconds is too much, more like 5-10 sec seems more reasonable. This also assumes that a character is going to eventually have more than 4 active abilities to choose from, when they should, since we have so little quantity of actual demigods.
Stun locks can be prevented by adding items that add a an ability to block 1 targeted spell every x seconds. Or mabye giving you a % every x seconds to block 1 stun. However, we must remember that stuns are also an essential part of any rpg type gameplay.
