kiCKs A$$$$!!! I love the direction the whole game is going. It's great fun to see the different builds come out and seeing how it flows, sometimes in reaction to what people have to say on this forum. I'm having similar bug issues others have mentioned (eg can't build lumber yards which is retarding growth). Caveat; the first 20-30 turns seem uneventful/preparatory. I'm presuming this is because there is no proper questing/tactical battles/properly seeded maps/(minor bugs (eg no lumb
+1 for op my sovereign ran out of essence wayyyyy too fast. The only way to gain experience was to best beasties but i chose Principea (whatever her name is, the specialist magician) and that was not going to happen with her. So, what transpired was I would get my ass handed to me by anything that was capable of movement and i would run low on essence founding a city and a garden. I would be left with 2/3 essence points and no way of building it back up. lots of ideas mentioned in thi

thank you [e digicons][/e]
Where is my Elemental? Not sure where else to put this... I'm using my brother's laptop (on holiday) and so downloaded and fired up Impulse to play my games, of which some show up BUT not Elemental (my other Impulse games are HoI III and East India Company). I've downloaded impulse twice but Elemental still wont show up. Any suggestions? Am i missing something obvious??
I think the lineages system worked very well in TW but i don't think it would fly so well in EWOM. For one thing, i don't really see my Channeller marrying over and over and siring tons of children, i think it would actually take something away from the game. For another, i think that when heroes die it would be better if you had to recruit more rather than merely hire their sons/daughters. As for generals, i think how TW:E handles it is better than previous incarnations of the game. Basicall
Surely if you're playing one or another of the Fallen, or 'evil', races then your choice of Royal Council should be slightly different. This is where the choice of Master Thief becomes more practical. Different mores and social practices would result in possibly subtle (or not so subtle) differences in who you get to choose for your Royal Council. I can't really see a shining light civilisation of angels and do-gooders having the option of choosing theives and assassins as members of

Am in agreement with most posts. I really like the artwork and if the game will look llike this (with a few tweaks here and there, eg slightly more detailed ground) then i will be very, very happy. My one complaint would be the outlines at the bottom of buildings, it seems to seperate them from the background a bit too much. Are they shards or sources of metal at the bottom of the picture (outside the town, to the right of the gates as we look at the picture)? They certainly don't loo
absolutely bloody brilliant. well done :)
WOW!11! well done. [e digicons]:S[/e] I'm afraid to try after reading that!!
yes landi, you've got the idea. i'm a tad drunk but i just thought your simple idea for a shirt would be cool. In fact i'd put my name down if i could order one. I should say that GW's point about the SD logo stands though.
talk about piquing a guy's interest
tbh, i'd like to hear a little more by the end of Jan. (but wouldn't we all?) damn it ,when's the next Journal??? [e digicons][/e]
yeah, okay diseases would be cool but only as long as they don't dominate my game time. I'd like the diseases to scale according to early-middle-late game (and relative size of the game). Tie naturally occuring diseases into population size/density and make them increase in likelyhood depending on city size/health/etc. Some buildings to help prevent the spread or mute the affects will aslo be necessary (somebody said apothecary and herbalist, good ideas). I'm not sure I like the idea of being
