@Primal_Savage: Thank you very much for your good work! This help me to understand the system of FE and your tip with the delay is very good. I disable so much UI as possible and play with no faction power window and with the uEye mod... As workaround I have played FE in some hot times on the cloth map only to see clear what is going on.

@Primal_Savage: Thank you for your inspirations! I will take a look on the weekend on number 3. But my biggest "problem" are the units: In the cloth map every unit has a colored base, but not in the 3D map. It needs a color on the ground only, this would be cool.

Hi @all, I found the possibility to mod FE yesterday [e digicons]:D[/e] Does anybody know if there is a mod for the HUD icons? I disable the icons for quests over quest locations and units, my dream are colors on the ground. Is there a HUD mod or is it easy to create it?

@Mozo293: I feel like you. The early game is great: A lot of exploration, weak troops and magic, but very few micromanagement. But how about a beginning with a lot of units ("surviors") and a start in a destroyed city? With not so fast unit growth then? I think this setting has interesting and new possibilitys for a 4X-game.

Hm, as great fan of MoM and AoW:SM I'm a little bit confused of your design goals. You want to write a fantasy 4X-all-is-possible-nothing-is-unpossible-game with the biggest map you ever seen with tons of units and so on? I can't believe that is possible. There are too many game mechanism to work together in the right balance. PS: Do you think about updates of the screenshot gallery?

The System in AoW:SM was good, but expandable. Underground and normal Map are a must have. Then you need a more then one "Dimension-Areas" like the shadow-world in AoW:SM. I like the GUI of AoW:SM. It's very clear and the idea of unit-characteristics on the side is very useful (especially if you have a 16:10-screen). Icons are not the best, because you don't understand them if there are many types of it. So the text in AoW:SM is a good solution too. A good game should have well balanced units. The AoW:SM-Mods are very intersting. A level-1-unit can be build and is note a waste of time and money, because they have important features like long sight (AoW:SM: vision I-IV) and level-3,4,5-units have a lot of disadvantages like flammable or slow speed. I'm not a friend of randomness. I defined magic as a realization of thinking. You think a firewall and it appears after a time of thinking and use of mana. Your spellbook is really only a choice of type of thinking. In my magic-system you can speak every spell, but the better spells needs a lot of mana per round, so not every magician can speak them at the beginning. It would be nice if a spellbook with the spells in it would be published by the developers. So we can estimate the tactical possibilities. PS: MoM had 210 spells! That was very cool. I hope there are more spells (f.e. taken from MoM+AoW:SM-Spells :) ) and a lot of spells with intersting effects. Armageddon (MoM), Mass Confusion (AoW:SM) or Tornado (AoW:SM) are very cool. Tactical battle was the A and O of MoM. And in AoW too. For a multiplayer-game is the AoW mode ok, because all players have time for a pause. But it can be increased in speed, if the battle are in realtime with little pauses after 10 seconds or with the possibility for timeouts. So every player can arrange his strategy.

Hello @all, for more atmosphere on the world map it would be nice if the units of the battlemap can be used on the world map too. This means, that you can see every member of the unit on the world map in a nice formation! That would be cool, then you can see armys on their way on the map :) vicwaberub, master of magic
