Greetings all! I would like to add some traits to faction creation that give a faction's cities unique resource production. Simple things, not at all complex, such as a trait that has every city produce horses, or a trait that gives every city extra mana, or extra gold income...the sort of things you could use to further specialize your play style without having to worry about haphazard resource placement. So if you want to be heavily focused on metal weapons, or horses, or influe

Forgive me for what may be a stupid question - I have only dabbled in diplomacy in the most recent releases - but is it possible to give cities/units to another faction? Say, return Athica to Altar or, in a situation where you have units to spare, backing up another faction with soldiers when they ask for it? It seems like you are being asked for supplies and soldiers without any real means of providing them. Ignoring Deb under siege, of course. Either way, this was quite enjo

So I was able to play a game without any crashing. Since the last beta I had time to play in way back when had crashing, I'm automatically ecstatic about that. There are a few small gripes that I still have. It is unobvious what each bloodline does for you when you are making a faction. I'd really love to have some sort of a tooltip for that or a selection box that also has a tiny blurb or something. I would really like more control on where I

Greetings! So I've been thinking a long while about this, and a major missing factor in Elemental - at least in the skirmish games - is the overwhelming evil. That is, the world is based around the same formula: you build a city, you expand, you possibly conquer, you possibly make friends. The world only truly affects you insofar as it is a consistent stumbling block. Claiming territory and expanding is limited by the denizens of the wild. Thus, I propose World Events, bas

1. God, yes. But a good threat! So much fun to play with the monsters. I would like the bandits to spawn a little less frequently (I had 3 camps blocking all 3 ways from my city to the rest of the world) but they were dealt with rather quickly, so it wouldn't be a major issue either way. 2. Fairly low difficulty on a huge world, so I only met Gilden and Pariden. Pariden had the annoying habit of running around without a city for the first 100 or so turns, so they ar

So after a crash (tried reloading from within the game) I decided to take a few moments to give my thoughts on the past 4-5 hours of gameplay. I'm with a custom-made sovereign, playing a custom-made faction, both based on research and magic - sort of Pariden, but with an emphasis on Tarth longbows and with an Amarian background. In short, I am playing magical elves. I started the game by playing with two teams - Kingdoms (myself and the other four) and Empires. After a good 400 tu

I feel the greatest differentiation comes from the domains. Each sovereign, each faction, has its own views on what the land should look like. Not all of the empires would want to make the world a blackened wasteland, not every kingdom a land of ponies and rainbows. Let some factions spread icy tundras, horizon-spanning deserts, cover the world in trees, create vast swamps, sweeping plains, chaotic nightmares, etc. The domains can be purely cosmetic, but it would be cool for each faction to h

If I may? There are a few mechanics from other games that really ought be in FE. For one, creation of a unique item/artifact would be rather amazing to have. It was in Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic and was a great way to go about building a personalized hero. Perhaps make the artifact only buildable at, say, tier 4 or 5 cities, and require an investment in mana until finished? Limit the actual creation possibilities, so that the strongest items in the game aren't Sovereign made but

It would certainly help with differentiation, yes. As well as making our own factions more distinct. I usually play a faction with a lore as being based in some desert or another - it makes sense to have a desert to return to. No added stats (ie, if Tarth did get more forests, they wouldn't be ones that you could build upon) but just a cosmetic thing. Be interesting, too, to see how each person is shaping the world into their own design. Do we see the sprawling forests of Tarth? P

Hello! I wanted to give some feedback. I'll start with the bugs, suggestions in a moment. First off, when creating a new faction and selecting a bonus, the tooltip will sometimes stick. For example, choosing "Adepts" will make the tooltip for "Adept" remain on the info bar at the bottom. When mousing over other bonuses, I get nothing. Secondly, when creating a background for character and for faction, if I click outside of the box and make a change (for example, changing t

...bring it on, Brad. Bring. It. On. 1) I found ranged units to be OP unless I had ranged or a mage. My general solution to this is to...have ranged or a mage. A good fireball will wipe them out, and my archers are generally better than the AI's. 2) It's a bit jarring to have someone run past my infantry to go for my Sovereign. I mean, why have my Sovereign sit waaaaaay back there with lines of infantry and archers and have someone run past? Would it be possible to hav

Forgive me, but I'm inclined to disagree - somewhat. I'm a dual major, physics/philosophy. And an average day, for me, involves at least 6 hours sitting at my lab desk writing a program, doing homework, or reading for class. On Monday I was there from 11am to 11pm, doing research. The problem is not a lack of a job, the problem is work ethic. You do not need a job to have a good work ethic. I pour hours into problems, devise how to better my research for a con

Greetings all. So at the moment, in the game I'm playing, I have one nifty city with several nifty units (custom elites) with a fairly powerful sovereign armed with equally powerful fire spells. In terms of the power level of my faction, I'm at a comparatively low level - which means everyone wants to fight me and kill me for the good of the land. And they try. They try again...and again...and again...and again. I've killed Magnar's 2 heroes around a do

Despite it supposedly being godawful and disease-ridden, Fallen Enchantress is, at this moment in time, looking like my new favorite strategy game. There are some minor things that irk me, but I cannot explain the extent of my squee when I decided to attack a baby bear with my Sovereign and died a horribly painful death to mauling. That has to be my favorite way to die at the moment. And I've found so many more! It's like Dwarf Fortress without the pachyderms. ...pleas

Greetings. Upon stationing a small force (my sovereign, champion Janusk, and a small Militia team) the footsteps sound ended up looping. Again and again and again. It cleared once I removed the army from the city, but persisted until then. I am not sure which of the three were the cause. The footsteps continue when engaging another army as well - so far, it's only been against animals/monsters and it loops until the start of combat. Cheers, Nathikal

I see two potential things occuring with Proccy: one, there is a single unit that has every single enchantment on it, two there are a lot of units with a lot of enchantments. The first will be more common (since casting X enchantments once is cheaper then casting X enchantments several times) and I doubt it will be feasible to expect more than a handful of super-units as the game goes on, simply due to the initial costs. Thus, the main weakness for Pariden that I can see is

-yawn- S'alright. One of the biggest complaints was that WoM was incomplete, rushed, so on so forth. Take your time - really. I'm chomping at the bit as much as everyone, but if this will make it better in the end, I'm willing to trust you guys. Plus, I has Skyrim and finals to keep me occupied until it's time. Now, back to napnap...

Take into account that no monster is going to just randomly rampage without a reason, and that if monsters are little more than beatsticks they become faceless and pointless in the grand scheme of things. Personally, I'd prefer a scale - between more docile (monsters individually avoid cities and push away from them, perhaps forming small tribal communities or eventual huge armies) and incredibly violent (monsters see anything that isn't them and attacks) as the two extremes.<

Serpent's Pact was mine c: This made my day just a little happier. Will the collection of assorted writings be made available at any point? I'd like to know more of the lore in the world, and since WoM was rather sparse in that department...well, more lore is good lore, no? Also, if I can be so bold...would it be at all possible to get a lore tidbit in-game for leaders more akin to Leadanna's lore? That is, a sort of personal blurb about the person. For choosing a
