Been playing now for about 30 minutes. Seems Very Awesome :). I can't wait to start modding in some better skins though. Also, for some reason, I found a chick who joined me but she won't mary me. I don't even see the option. Can we still get married and have kids and stuff?
RavenX
Ahh, didn't know that. Thanks everyone.
AFAIK, the beta version of FE will download an updated data blob each time it is started, so apparently mods won't be able to be made just yet. And I don't think there will necessarily be a workaround like in previous (WoM) betas. EDiT: Beaten by 26 seconds.
Hmm...we'll have to see about this "no workaround" thing. As long as I have a physical file
Multiplayer would be cool I'm sure, and if they add it later on down the road I'm not going to complain and I'd even be interested in playing a good multiplayer game. The thing to think about though, at least in my opinion anyway, is that this is a 4X strategy game. Traditionally, there aren't a lot of 4X games that are multiplayer or even designed to suit multiplayer. Yes, I know there are some that are, I don't need examples, and yes, I know that
That's a Lot of great news right there :) . Two questions if I may Frogboy. 1. Have there been any changes in the ways modding is done between WoM and FE? 2. For us modders, if we start modding now with the beta version of FE, will there be a lot we'll have to change to make mods work for the full release? I understand that's based on how big a mod would be, just a ball-park estimate if you can. Mostly I mean will the file structure and coding ch
Regardless of the reasons, it would be very fun to have. Sieges is probably on the top of my wish list currently. Shogun 2 had some amazing sieges, and even old classic Age of Wonders had really interesting and fun sieges.
Win!
Which post where brother?

Have no fear, Undead Rising will be making an updated return for FE.
Thanks askjosh , I didn't know Kingdoms of Alamur was even going to have a demo. DL'ing it now :) . Between that and all the add-ons for Shogun 2 I picked up yesterday I won't have a problem waiting for FE later today.
I gots E-Mail :). Where me game? Bizzaro wants play game!!! er...wait a minute, been watching too many cartoons, my bad. I did get the E-Mail though :D

Long Live Macho Madness....Oh Yeah! F'king HILARIOUS.
A lot of major companies, even major game companies, are saying they support the "idea" of SOPA, but Not the bill in it's current form. The problem is they aren't going far enough to stand against it. If it's passed in it's current iteration it'll be a BAD day for internet users everywhere. I urge anyone to call their local congressman's office and to voice your concerns over this bill. You'd really be surprised by how much their offices respond to a wave of public
In the immortal words of Lord Helmet, "Evil shall always triumph over good, because good....is dumb." hehehe Not a bad idea either.
Problem is that the building designer in Elemental is much more robust and has a very large learning curve compared to that of GalCiv2. It would need to be made more intuitive for it to be a mainstream feature such as you described. I don't feel like it's worth the effort.
I can see where you're coming from Linque, I just don't agree. To me learning how to use the tile builder to build buildings wasn't much har

Perhaps you're referring to season 3 [which would require

Indeed it was incredibly sad thing when Andy passed. The last of heard him before I heard he passed was that he was getting better and even felt so good they were going ahead with the planning for season 2 and we're going to take some still shots while he finished recuperating. Next thing I know I heard he lost the fight with cancer. It was really sad and I felt bad for his family. They are doing a new season of Spartacus though and honoring Andy with it. The new guy (don
Definitely looking good :)
Doing a true custom faction in Elemental wasn't as easy as it should have been. It involved a lot of scripting and effort to put in a player designed city so your created faction could have it's own truly unique look. In Gal Civ 2, creating your own fleets with custom designed looks was easy as the ship designer was incorporated directly into the game as a choice. When designing a ship you could go with the stock default design, OR, you could design a custom ship from the ground up de
