I was wondering this as i havn't see anything. I know there was things such as military actions, diplomatic inclination etc, that helps increase "friendliness" towards other factions but i have not seen trade as a factor? Does trade help, or am i just not seeing something? If it dosn't, i think it should.

Hi. I was wondering in the future if their is going to be a Vasari phase gate pact (if they are adding any post-content in). e.g allow other factions to use Vasari phase gates when they are allied. I think it would be really good feature and allow other allied factions the maneuverability, making the factions more maneuverable when allied with Vassari. What do you think, would it be a good idea?

For civic tech tree, as Vassari i wouldn't mind an option where your allies, regardless of race (or possibly someone who pays you in resources etc) can use your phase inhibitators to travel to other gravity wells with phase inhibitors - or if you could ally with other Vassari player and can do the same - so you can use eachothers phase lanes. Perhaps you could also have a civic tree where someone elses own defence/ships (or even starbases) could turn on their own ships

I wouldn't mind one of the Vassari pacts being that other players could use your phase "inhibitator" - is it? (The one that has dark armada function) so that your allies could travel through them to different places which has one like you can with them if your Vessari.

I wouldn't mind if you could control the planets/ships etc of the "surrendered" player as your own and you would get all their stuff with it, e.g built starbases, defences, tradeports etc. A way of doing it could be when an AI/Player surrenders then you have to take an envoy ship to their home planet, and then have to wait 10 minute (or so) while it "negotiates" control of the surrendered empire. In this time other factions (minus the surrendered faction) could attack the envoy cruser

I wouldn't mind if the envoy cruser had some kind of function similar to the frigate (planet destroyer) ships. Instead of destroying the planet infrastructure and removing the population, the population and "before-player controled" infrastructure becomes yours. (Instead of the population being totally destroyed and the "tax" income base gone, the tax base/population gradually shifts to yours so that you are getting paid until the enemy "tax base population" goes to 0, then yo

I have also noticed what i think is a bug? I was playing as TEC and sometimes the Orgiv (the starbase attacking craft) attacks the strike craft hanger (prioritises it) if it is closer than the starbase (i think thats what causes it) when both are in the same gravity well. I think this is a bug?

I was thinking about this for an idea. Should the outcome of battles/how you are running your empire effect you units effectiveness and planets alligance? Military: In reality if you are getting your arse handed back to you every fleet battle you probably would not fight as effectivly the next time around, yet if you won you would be probably pumped up and ready to fight more (to be simplistic and sterotipical). There for i think a good feature would be in batt

I think it would also be good if the "steal" option allowed you to "steal" some of the "allies-envoy'd" ships (for a price of course). Which you could use for attacking an enemy, so that enemy thinks that your "ally" is attacking them and fights back (e.g you build some of their ships and attack your other enemy/ally which would show it as them - manipulate someone into a war).

Which is the directory path i add this so i can watch it? Unfortunatly I would play online but have a crappy computer that keeps blue screening me/restarting itself at random which i don't think would be very fun especially if someone was like an hour into it and i just "dissapeared". Would be interesting to see what type of strategys/gameplay people use online, maby learn a thing or 2.

So what in hell have I been playing if there's no single player?[/quote] Maby you imagined it ;) Great minds think alike! we must have been assimilated into the borg and not realised it. :)

I wouldn't mind some structures that you HAVE to build to allow you to communicate with other teams. (e.g so you can't just form an alliance with your mates at the start and overwhelm the other players - aka what the AI does in FFA) It would work similar to culture, except if these structures "communication lines" do not reach the other empires "communication lines" then you can not contact eachother.(The structure should be buildable in any gravity well - like the starbase).

I've also seen it in (Entrenchment 1.02) when your ally surrenders and then a hostile empire takes over the planet, if another empire attacks the planet it will still say "our allies planet is being attacked etc - or to that extent". It is also the same if you have been defeated and continue to watch the AI etc, it will say your planet is still being attacked even tho you were defeated (and re-colognised by an enemy) ages ago.

Yes. Entrenchment is a good add on, it adds a lot of defensive capabilities (e.g starbases) and allows you to upgrade normal sins defences. (e.g your planets arn't wide open to defeat if your fleet is destroyed - it gives you time to rebuild). If you buy both you can choose to play either vanilla (normal) Sins of a Solar Empire or Entrenchment (They both now work as seperate as you probably already know) - I would assume their would be a seperate one for the new expansion pack

I wouldn't mind if you could customise your options and rewards in diplomacy. E.g you say: Destroy all the carriers in this gravity well and i'll give you 1000 credits, 500 crystal, 250 metal etc Or Destroy the super weapon on "planet x" / destroy all defences on "planet x" etc and you'll recieve 2 carriers/1 cabalt (it either autobuilds, or if your same faction sends one of your ships)

One of the things i don't like (with all RTS that puts me off onlnie) is being ranked/stat recorded. With offline play you don't get ranked and can enjoy the game. Saying that i also wouldn't wanna play a game for like 5 hours streight (If i had the time) only for someone to quit because you've destroyed their fleet/they get bored and can't be bothered to build it back up/recover.

Your right! My Appologies! For some reason i must have had the mistaken impression that you have to destroy them to colognise them (i always thought they worked similar to normal gravity well planet controlled extractors which you have to destroy via taking the hull down). - I guess its because i always used to colognise them first and the AI never touched them! - Just assumed they worked the same as they do near a planet. Thanks to both of you for clearing that up for

I think more pirate options would be good. Such as: -Can choose where pirates will attack and what they will be attacking, e.g labs, vehicle factorys etc -Can get them to gather you intel as they go along (for an extra fee) -Option to customise whats going to be in their attack fleet, e.g is it based on destroying planets (increase planet bombers), or blockading enemy off at a neutral well (combination) (since your funding it) -Not having them attack yo

Victory Conditions: 1. Everyone on the map holds hands, singing come by arr (all at peace, with a peace treaty) 2. Blast everyone on the map who arn't allied/at peace with you into oblivion (Total Domination/Conquest) - NOTE: some may surrender. (AI - as they can give up) (Speaking of surrender - i always thought it would be a good idea for the person who's surrendered (including AI) to be able to choose who they surrender to based on some sort of criter
