Controlled folder access has been disabled for me normally, and after double checking remains so. Creating a second admin account and installing it that way did work. Any idea why my normal Win10 admin account would all of a sudden have trouble installing Start10 files or how a new second admin account gets around this issue?

I did exactly as the solution suggested, including using Steam for the reinstallation. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. Same error.
I have had Start 10 installed for several months now. I acquired it via Steam. This morning I was notified of an update and I tried to install it. I was met with the following error: " This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator. " I edited the permissions on the following folders, adding the user "Everyone" and granting it all permissions: c:\Users\my-user-name\AppData\Local\Startdock\Start10

Version: WindowBlinds 10.4 I just discovered the Per Application settings in WindowBlinds. But I don't think it is functioning properly. In my mind, an application being excluded should produce the same result in the excluded application as if WindowBlinds wasn't running/loaded at all. Am I correct? I recently learned about SkinStudio and that it is included for free with WindowsBlinds (here: https://www.stardock.com/products/skinstudio/). I am not sure where I can download the file. I am a newcomer to WindowBlinds 10. I have been looking at some Dark themes for Windows 10 (like Dark Mode ) and notice that the Run dialog is consistently left untouched by the theme creator. The Delete/Replace File dialog is untouched as well. I am curious if there is something special about certain system dialogs that prevents colorization?
