[/quote] Since Stardock sold Impulse one can download games on stardock.com. If you have any problem with that, it's better to ask support. In my case this transition was smooth - I even do not remember the details.

I have found the official answer. As it's stated on LS page in Stardock store : The free Steam application is required to install and play this game
