Some recent history: The whole reason I originally came across FE was because I was in search of a server-free game after Starcraft II was released and REQUIRED you to be connected to Battlenet, EVEN if you play singleplayer mode. Stupid stupid stupid. Then when you want to play....server is down. Stupid stupid stupid. Then when you want to play ten years from now.....server no longer exists. Tough luck. Stupid stupid stupid. By that logic, when someone is stabbed the government is to blame, because they allow people to buy knives and apparently the stabber is innocent. It's much more fair to the developers that they allow them to change the prices. This way a developer could lower the price of a game in a given region based on low sales in that region. Don't always assume people will do the worst if they're allowed to, check out the regional prices of Stardock published games: <a href=
For those who still blame steam for it's unfair regional prices please read this part of their wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_(software)#Regional_restrictions_and_pricing And if you're still not convinced read Vandal's (Witcher dev's) comment on the matter (blue text): <a href="http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/steam_1_usd_1_eur
I don't know if this has been pointed out or not (sorry I'm kind of in a hurry), but it's not steam's fault that there are region restrictions, or $ = euro prices. Only the developers have control over that, so when you see a $40 game for 40 euros on stream, it's actually the developer who's to blame. Same for all price or region related problems. Their support isn't great at all, but again you have to consider that they might have to ta
Thanks you very much! :) I really like this art style.
I'm just asking because there's only 6 in the media section, and 2 for the upcoming Fallen Enchantress, but Frogboy sometimes posts cool concept arts (in tiny formats), isn't there a 1920X1200 version of those? :) (I've linked one of those arts, an air shard, sadly there's only a fire shard wallpaper right now.)
I skip most of my tactical battles because of this, and the slow animations, the game should let us speed them up. About the Demon, I'm not sure which one you're refering to, but the one summoned by the empires has a spell that does 10 damage to every enemy on the field, maybe the damage ruined the morale? I don't know. :/
I know this isn't the most important bug right now, but some of these would be super easy to fix, I'll check some more later, but for now I noticed that while Kingdom farms cost 25 gildar 2 materials, Empire farms cost 25 gildar 5 materials. Also the Empire has no way to gain mana regeneration bonuses, so an Empire caster will always have lower mana than a Kingdom caster (once level 5 cities are present). If you have some more that could be fixed easily please post.
Anyone else has this problem? Whenever I cast anything with a mounted character, the animation starts but there are no effects, if the effect originates from the caster, so lightening strike and all AoE spells work just fine, but something like fireball does not. This affects both tactical and strategic spells. Just try to cast spell of making while mounted and dismounted.
having said this, i would quite like a "lichdom" spell (or a good aligned equivalent) that immortalised your sovereign and reverted the game to the sovereign-is-the-game status, but this would have the tradeoff of infertility: you exchange a large pool of evolving characters for one obscenely powerful leader (ie, sauron vs gondor).
I really like this idea. [e digicons]k1[/e]
Sadly it's not possible right now, you can only arrange marriges through diplomacy. You can however marry your children to a neutral NPC faction, which is nice if you have only daughters.
I fully support this. About the spellbooks, I guess they'll get some love in a future patch. If you ask me, they should be items, which you can trade and copy, though copying would cost lot's of gildar or time. Then you could have quests that give you rare books, like necormancy and such. Point 5 is my favorite, though it should be an option when starting a new game.
Where da dragon women at? I was negotiating with the Drake faction in one game I played, and the only problem is that when you go into the diplomacy screen you'll find yourself staring down Drake's throat, which is not a pleasant sight...
Yeah, that dragon throat thing is awkward, the dragon/women actually look like humans/fallen, but you'll see which one's the drake child if you look at their stats. <p
Nevermind.
I've uploaded the savegame to mediafire (hopefully it'll show up here, if it doesn't just PM me) http://www.mediafire.com/?75edtns1uspf7fa There are 2 or 3 dragons in the upper left city, plus some epic drake/women. I've pretty much won the game by then, tried to do the quest of mastery, but sadly it didn't show up. :/ Edit: I forgot to tell, you need to put the savegame file in documents/my games/elemen
I hope this hasn't been posted yet. I married my daughter to a drake (neutral city), and my grandson turned out to be a drake as well! Then I went on to arm him...and well, it's kinda silly that you can give mounts to drakes. (pics on the link). By the way, that drake had like 25million combat rating with 25K strenght and such, I guess it should be fixed. :) Anyway, great game Stardock, just fix the bugs and I'll be more than happy with Elemental!
