Do space battle graphics reflect battle damage results? in Galactic Civilizations III GalCiv3 Forums

Do the space battle graphics reflect whats happening in the actual battle, before a ship actually explodes? If my dreadnaughts massive blaster beams blow through the targets paper shields, does that look any different than my glorified space shuttle with a laser tickling a dreadnoughts godlike shields? If i watch 2 ships battling can I tell from the graphics which ship is winning before the loser explodes? I like the graphics to tell me how my ships are performing. I don&#
