I wonder if there's something else causing this like ATI's catalyst A.I. control. EDIT: I have to apologise to the op however since it seems what I said is irrelevent to what the OP has posted. Anti Aliasing does not apply to the environment (the plateau) I had it set to 8x. Also at the left and right sides of the channels, the water flashes rapidly, and is not congruent to the rest of the water (which renders normally) Specs: Vista x64 DX10 ATi 4870x2 Catalyst version 8.9 EDIT: Screenshot: <img src="http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm102/s0ury/demigod/demibug.jpg" alt="" width="1440" hei

Quoted from GPG email I have JUST (!!) received and read:
This is a limited time offer. Signups for this cycle of the beta test close on Friday, September 19th, though the beta itself is ongoing.
The "offer" is the chance to get into the beta if you buy the game. So until the 19th, if you get the game you go into phase1 of the beta. Elsewise, you'll have to wait until the second phase.
The DRM isn't there to stop piracy, just fyi. It's there to stop the 2nd hand market. If you can only install a game 3 times then it's a coaster, then anyone buying it from you has to trust that you haven't coaster'd it yet.
You are correct. That's an effective measure against second hand market. Though I'd only sell a game that I didn't like. The ones that are worth it would remain in my collection. That assuming I bought games that

Darn I hate these forums, edit button got lost. About the first paragraph, before you flame me, I haven't played the game yet. 70% user reviews say it's crap, it's shallow, and then focus on DRM and 30% that it's absolutely fantastic and either say DRM is a minor minus or say they dont' care about DRM (DRM is almost always mentioned)
I can't get my spore without DRM without breaking the law.
Legal solutions: 1. Don't buy Spore. Spore in 2005 was a really interesting concept. Spore today is a failed concept, as it clearly targets little kids, focusing little on anything that could add some depth of exploration. The Creature Creator demo got me depressed, seeing how shallow the CC was, I could only guess how the rest of the game could be, and was conf
And then right now we don't have any unique items for the Demigods, it's just generic. So if I'm playing as the Rook, and you're playing as the Rook, we're basically going to be the same in this beta. But in the final game, we could really customize the way our Demigods play, even though they're the same one. Because like I said, one of the things people who have played DotA say is, "Oh, there's only eight to ten Demigods?" And it's like, you don't understand: one guy's Rook is

IF there are more than 2 viable (competant) builds for a Demigod, and if those builds change the gameplay of the given Demigod, this is going to be just fine. It's just the start, anyway. More will be incoming. Remember that, the game's developers can think, too! You aren't the only one who thought that 8 might not be sufficient. Difference is, they ca

Older gen, the GTX280 replaces it performance-wise, doesn't it? I don't get your point. Yes in theory, but the 2 GPUs of the 9800 GX2 still owns the GTX280 on most resolutions and the GX2 is cheaper. The only real advantage of the GTX280 is Shader Model 4.1 support,

Why would you suggest old versions of graphics cards to people, Himmelweiss, Sorceress, verspunken? On a side-note: My 7800GT is three years old, (7 series were out late summer 2005) so apparently Sorceress you were tricked, or you miscalculated. Today's lineup for mid/high and high end range is: nVidia - Geforce 9800GTX+ / Geforce GTX260 / Geforce GTX280 ATi - Radeon HD4850 / Radeon HD4870 / Radeon HD4870x2 Performance wise, very, very roughly: 4
