It may well be something to do with the graphics card. I put the installer I had used on my home computer on a flash drive and used that same installer (to make sure the files weren't somehow corrupted) to put Fallen Enchantress on my work computer (which does not have an AMD graphics card at all, as far as I know). The game ran without a hitch. Now, if only I was sufficiently computer savvy to experiment with finding potential work-arounds. Edit: So much for that. I

I failed to mention in my post above that I downloaded the full 0.913 installer, not any update, so I'm having this issue in 0.913 also. My graphics card is an AMD Radeon HD 6450. I'm also running 8 gigs of ram. Edit: No worries Naaarf. I'd love to see this issue fixed.
I finally went ahead and preordered the game so I could give the beta a try. :) Unfortunately I also seem to be having this problem. I also tried Mr. Paxton's fix but to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks for the info, guys. That's a pretty cool looking Air Elemental and not like one I've ever seen in another game. Anyway, speaking from personal experience (for whatever that's worth) it would indeed be nice to see a few more summons in the game. One of the best parts of fantasy 4X games is being able to summon cool and varied creatures, especially the hideously powerful ones, to crush your enemies etc. ;) They couldn't go wrong, I think, with allowing Death mages
As someone who hasn't played the Fallen Enchantress beta I'm just curious (if anyone would be kind enough to take the time to list 'em) about what sorts of creatures an aspiring sovereign can summon in Fallen Enchantress. I was also wondering, what is the winged creature summoned on the dev diary on spells from early April? Anyway, thanks in advance for any assistance. It's much appreciated. -ChaosReigns
I tried to order Disciples 3 on Impulse yesterday, but I haven't received the confirmation email yet. How long does it usually take to receive the email, by your experience(s)? Thanks in advance.
In my opinion the focus should be, at least initially, on the canon races and factions. I'm more concerned with playing the game in a compelling fantasy world than on customizing my own races and factions. While the latter option would be nice it can come later, as DLC or in an expansion or in whatever form the team prefers.
Your analogy doesn't work at all. TA was ONLY about robots, remove them and there's no game. OTOH, removing the classic non-human races from medival fantasy changes nothing. I would have to disagree with you there. Robots are an integral part of TA, non-human races are an integral part of fantasy (I think so at least). Furthermore they are an integral part of practically every game/story Elemental draws its inspirations from. All I s
Very cool! Thanks.
Not trying to take anything away from Stardock here, but there are, in my opinion, ways to avoid stereotypes in fantasy games besides chopping out the stereotypical parts (in this case the standard fantasy races) entirely. Why not include unconventional interpretations of classical fantasy races, or create entirely new races? I mean Medieval/ancient humans have got to be the most stereotypical race in fantasy, almost every fantasy has them, even those that do not have elv
Sounds like a fantastic concept, although there are a couple of things I'm not so sure about. Well first of all this doesn't sounds particularly...uhm...magical. In my opinion there really should be ways to affect what role your troops play on the battle field besides quality of weapons, armour and training. You had mentioned griffins, that sounds great, some exotic mythological mounts would help a lot. I think it's a must, however, to have magical weapons and armour that you can give to your
Everything I'm suggesting here would fall into the "factions" category. Unfortunately this is kind of a crap-shoot at the moment because Stardock has not released very much info on factions or game mechanics, so I'm not sure if this is a reasonable, do-able idea or if it's completely out there. In any case, we'll see.
Well, I'm not sure if each and every faction has been accounted for, but I have a couple of simple ideas. I personally would like to see different races besides men and "evil men" in Elemental, maybe in an expansion if they don't see the light of day right off the bat. They don't have to be orcs and elves or anything like that, I'm cool with angels, demons, werewolves, whatever, but let's have some sentient races besides humans. In any case I thought that this faction s
