A game developers dream IMO would be that 3-5 years after release it is still selling and has a demand. WC3 is still selling to this day. Why? Is it mass content, or word of mouth or mods? That is the secret to sucess IMO. I think a game developer needs to make choices one of them is " do we just make a game and hope to get a good ROI and move on, or go for longgevity and reap rewards for years to come. I used to play a game called Empire Earth 2, and it had a rating system of points givin and taken for wins and losses. In the lobby you could run your mouse over a persons name and see their rating and how many games played, then you could tell what level of skill they had. Lets say a rated player at 2800 played a 1000 rated plyer if the 2800 won he would get like 10 points and the 1000 player would loose like 150 points. I have 3 copys of DG on 3 different comps on 2 completly different internet connections (1 is DSL and 1 is cable) and NO router in this house, and we got em the first week of release. I was able to host since day 1 and been having great fun. But now I go to host and get 2 problems first one it says "cannot connect to nat facilitator. please try again later" so I click ok then the 2nd problem says "host game in CVP failed".Both of these are stacked on each other makes no sense. So I tryed hosting and de-selected auto port and was able to create. Re hosted and had to de and re and de select auto ports to create. I was fine till now. <p

hmm I dont think the totems would be fair only because Rook with his towers and Wizard with totems camped at the xp flag would be a disaster. But a few skills I think he could use would be like a "levitate" type skill where he could lift a combatent out of a battle for so much time and it would increase over lvls. he could save a tm8 that way a heal/hurt cast that would heal friend or hurt foe, then he has to decide when and to whom, adds strat and powerplay. ummm the blink

Whats the difference between him "sucking" and you "Quiting". It sounds like a custom game, no big deal. It sounds like you gots skill and instead of pickin up the slack you quit and lost, so it shows that you only wanna win but lost, but wanna blame the lesser player. very good interview. Mr. Wardell has a great sense of the gamer world by mentioning different places to store your games if 1 were to go under. IMO he looks at the situations from both (bussiness/customer) perspectives which is great. Its a shame that pirates are so selfish and force bussiness's to create DRm. I had alot of "connection failed" messages today also. The first few times I tried to enter games I connected, then after game went back to lobby and I couldnt find any to get in. I thought it was maybe the game so I restarted the game and still problem. 1 out of 7 attempts worked.
