Just found out about this today from Penny Arcade. I made a thread over on Gamefaqs, but here's some posts from Firgof from PA in case this news isn't too old for everyone around here: Introduction and technology discussion <img class="txttoimage_image" style="max-width: 200px ! important; max-height: 35.5656px ! important;" title="http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/5184/63083696.png" src="http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/5184/63083696.png" alt="http://img189.

Still unable to play after this update :( After I create a town I either crash straight to my desktop or get a jumbled mess that pops up for the research screen (the latter being what I'm posting here as that's which debug.err I have). After I close out the bottom toolbar is gone no matter what I click on (Sovereign or town) and I basically have to quit. http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/4083/elemental1260425271.jpg Occasionally it will just crash instead of going through any of that,
Your last suggestion have merit. I will try that. Your first will not work as no Windows key or any other key will be functional.
That's odd. I haven't had to do it recently, but will try the next time a new build releases or I install something new. I have always been able to logout which minimizes everything, it should be possible as ZA is just waiting for you to make a decision and the program is waiting for access or not, h
I ran ZA and had no problems. If it doesn't pop up on top of the current program just use Windows key -> L -> enter or Windows key + L to get to the login screen, log back in, and then it should definitely be on top as you should be viewing your desktop. Or before you start a new version of Elemental you could right click ZA in the taskbar and bring up the "Game mode" option and select to allow all notices, then turn it off after playing and not have to active this mode until a
Whenever I click either of the buttons to end my turn or to view the research trees my game instantly crashes. Before I had been able to get into the research screen, but the graphics were very odd (see screenshot at end of how it used to be with this build), and end of turn crashes were only occasional at worst, not sure what's changed. Hopefully this is relevant as I've been away from the beta for a few weeks and don't know what's on the priority list, but didn't see something like this on
1280x1024. I just tossed it into Faststone and that basically cropped the edges and gave me what I was looking for :) The 20 minutes was me swapping the logo (didn't check the media link on the site till about half way through) so my RSS feeds would fit on my desktop >_> :P Thanks again.
Hey thanks, I've been wanting to find a new wallpaper :D Though it took me about 20 minutes to make the slightest change to the one I used and then resize it >_
You get into all of the betas if you preorder now: https://forums.elementalgame.com/363845 and the physical copy will be sent around the time of release, I don't know exactly when. If you don't preorder before the end of this month though, you won't be able to get into the beta until the second is released (from what I hear it's quite a ways away - months?)
I've had two BSOD crashes that rebooted my machine this evening. The first happened just as I launched the game from Impulse, I didn't even get to a screen for the game. The most recent just happened as I was taking my first turn. I built my first city, moved my Sovereign, and then tried to open the research tree. Nothing came up, but the sound looped for a second before crashing. I'm guessing this log will only be good for the latter, but nonetheless I figured I'd mention both just to cover
Did anyone else instantly think of Dragon Quest from these shots? I really like it myself as the art design for DQ8 added a great feel to it, plus what's being shown makes me think my P4 might possibly be adequate >_> XD even though I'm aware this is very early. Anyways, I think I'd prefer this to something realistic like Conan (not that I dislike Conan at all). Good to see you guys have yet another game I'm very much interested in (even if I don't tend to be able to play TBS' wel
