(I wonder if they create fire and earth mana the way they created "chaos" mana in MoM)
Probably not. I think all mana comes from shards or essence/the channeler, possibly with some awarded from quests. Would be nice to get dev confirmation, though.

Could be useful, as long as it's balanced. I wouldn't want to be forced into an RNG situation, or for that matter forced out of it.
I have no clue what that means
T he B ig R oulette W heel I n T he S ky: a funnier name for an overpowered RNG. I don't want to have to remember all my arguments again.

Reply to Sea Dragons in WOM Ideas

I for one am partial to serpents, myself. Although it's only a matter of time before somebody comes on here asking for mermaids(/mermen?)... My wierdest monster idea would probably be a patch of giant (maybe 100 meters tall) sea-growing mushrooms that leave spores on passing ships that then grow into more giant mushrooms, and sink the ship.
Yeah I was perhaps hoping to have various materials be found on the map itself,
They already will be. All resources will appear on the map, and you will need to mine them to build stuff with them. I do not, however, like the idea of the resources you control affecting the techs you get: to RNGish, and doesn't leave room for techs that don't directly tie into resouces. Plus, what happens if you lose a resource?

Hmmm.... this is interesting..... I wonder how you would feel about an espionage victory: the player gains complete "shadow" control over all other powers via aggressive espionage. Also, while I like the idea of a "divinity" victory, I fedel that your culture score should confer some sort of advatage to your empire (aside from the victory conditiion), so that you can still "flip" people.

Well, these private-sector entities could appear as researchable techs near the end of the "civilization" branch of the non-tree-tech-tree-that-really-doesnt-use-techs-per-se (NTTTTRDUTPS). That would solve a little of the realism problem.

I for one prefer to have names unknown until you enter the feature- waiting until you have fully explored it doesn't do any good, because people can just recognize the internal arraingement (if they are OCD enough to write down the names in the first place) and render the hidden name moot.
