About those laws... so we should follow (medieval) real world laws in combat but not when talking about population growth?
Who ever said anytrhing about real-world combat laws being a good thing?! In any event, I certainly don't consider biology/sociology to be as inviolateable as Newtonian physics, especially with magic in play.
As someone who already tried to mod something in (and was forced to uninstall and install again because of that...), any idea of when minimods will be possible? Be it a new race or just changing the pieces of a figurine like I was trying. Around Beta 2? Really need to wait for Beta 5?
Yours actually creashed the game? Compared to where I am now (mods that don't do anything no matter what I change), that's an improvement!
how the Veteren Troops tech actually allows the different training level (is it just hardcoded to the name for now?), etc.
Look in the CoreUnitQualityTypes file. All the trainings are there, and have a tech prereq listed.

Winter, I really think you're overanalyzing this a bit much. Although the units do appear to be all male, they are just placeholders, and it seems to me that in a world as bizzarre as EWOM's, you don't really need to follow traditional real-world population-growth laws. As for the "skin issue", I agree that we need a bit more clothing here in cyberspace. However, sompared to, say, Grand Theft Auto or WOW, TBSs and even their "estranged cousins", RT"S"s, are fairly egalitarian.
You start with both essence and life mana. The amount of mana you can have is limited by the essence so when you spend essence, you will see that white bar get shorter but it won't regen currently when you get more essence by leveling.
Not technically true... I've gotten odd amounts of life mana (I remeber having 14 MPs once) after expanding my bar capacity, but I don't know how it got there.
studied to open up new research trees,
Not quite sure about that..... potentially research new techs, definately, but actually opening up new areas of research that are impossible to get to otherwise......... that seems like an aweful lot of "big stuff" to have hinging on just random dungeoneering.
I would say it depends. If they treat magical nodes like "buildings" in the map editor then it may very well be just a simple "click" and change the name. Stardocks pretty good about stuff like that. You could rename practically anything in Gal Civ 2. If not then Scoutdog is correct. Once you find the proper file and open it and find the string you could rename each one to "Fountain of Asskicking Goodness" if you wanted. Really anything will work here as long as the code doe
So will us map creators be allowed to create an AI opponent which has both "Death" and "Life" mana?
Yes and no. It will probably not be possible to do from within the internal editors, but the sky's the limit when you consider altering the code.
I think losing 'a' in "Elementapedia"(which was originaly proposed by Frogboy) resulting in "Elementpedia" is just fine to me...
Too hard to say. I would prefer The Liturgy myself, but since that sounds to the less-educated reader like something Senators would have to resign after being caught performing, I think we should stick to Book Of The Elders or something like that.
An idea is that your channeler can make certain items for your units like say make a unit who could cast a fire spell with a magic ring of fire. For instance he could cast a fireball that lets him act like artillery or imbue his sword with fire to make him stronger. Now the fallen are described already so the tech is there to make some units like them say by imbueing part of a cyrstal shard in there skin making them stronger faster and more resliant.
Already in.
