Having a representative on the Royal Concil does seem a bit much (well.... unless she's not JUST there for advice, but I won't get into THAT!!), but the whole idea of a council sounds like a good way to add customisability(sp?). Maybe have different positions for different factions. This could definately add a\some dimension to the game....

If they did a manual, I would buy it, but only if it had a TON of not-necessarily-strategic-related info and lore in it. After all, I don't want to just stare at a bunch of unit ID's. I want BACKSTORY!
Seriously though, you do bring up a good point. Having a small, mobile civilization would be an interesting alternative to my normal turtling. You would still be able to build up your power, albiet more slowly, without worrying about getting bogged down in any big wars... Heck, it would likely be the best defensive strategy, but at the price of a large, powerful civilization.
Two words: The. Rangers.
Ummmmm...... the link takes you to the fortunecity logo, as opposed to a map.
Niiiiiiice. If this ever gets off the ground, I want on it!
Same here. No offense taken.
I believe this sort of operation is best referred to as a "spam brothel". However, once I turn 18 and need money, I will definately take this and any spin-offs I encounter under consideration.
WHAT??? NOTHING ABOUT PIE??? But even Obama likes pie...
What's with the pie? Is this some sort of Portal spinoff? If so, pleasde refrain from making a Companion Circle....
I think a system like Zyxpsilon is proposing for GC3 might work in Elemental: you build a city on a tile. It takes up that tile, and stays there. Adding buildings will not make it grow beyond that tile. HOWEVER, if you click on the city, the window zooms in to just that square and it breaks up into a smaller grid that has Tetris buildings as in the OP. If you run out of space, you have an option to expand into the next tile, but as the city grows you need to build bigger and bigger w
Although this has a few legitimate issued from a gaming perspective, it would be SO INCREADIBLY USEFUL from a modding perspective! Of course, this is provided that you can set up a game containing only AI players with yourself as the Overseer, but still... I'd be willing to try it out.
Having not played any Civ games, what is the approximate size of one of those 'tiles' you are talking about... Is it like 1 km? 10? 100?
Well, a city fits on one tile, but units can routinely travel over several tiles in a turn... except that a turn varies from a few months to a decade depending on which speed setting you are using... and if you did it mathematically assuming that a huge map is the size of the real Earth you come up with around 76633 km2, which makes no
I suppose so... Guess it's all in the definition.

I suppose it just comes down to what you call it. Or, maybe it works like this: Magic operates on the "B/c I said so" principal. A spell works because that's how it works. There's no reason behind it, there's no force behind the scenes, it is just a series of variables that converge to create something that cannot appear from the sum of its parts. In other words: magic is not linear . I say "wingaudium leviosa" and the rock floats. I don't directly or indirectly move t
