Yes, I have gotten a bit more adept at using Blender over the last year, but those accursed "X" files are the bane of my existance!!! I want all of the Elemental animations etc. to be in some other format. I don't really catre what.

Banned for thinking the clones were Republicans. Well, actually, that would be more likely than them being Democrates.....

Well, in the old days sex WAS necessary, but now we have in-vetro technology and artificial insemnation, and probably in a decade we will most likely be cloning ourselves, so the only reasons people have babies the old-fasioned way anymore is because they enjoy it and/or can't afford the procedures.

I think that the way it works is similar to chess, but with "memory": You move a unit, then the other guy does, then you do, and so on. When all of the units are moved, the turn ends, at which point you get money, population, etc.

I think that at this point the answer is "no". However, the coding is going to be to some degree editable, so it might be possible to add them in later on.... they would look good in an expansion pack, too.

You RAN OUT OF VIRGINS. That's....... actually quite remarkeble. Also, why so much stuff about bears? I for one think that five-foot-tall wild dogs would be MUCH cooler. In any event, "Bear Calvalry" would actually be called "ursary", which sounds like something dreamed up by a guy who ran out of virgins, so lets just stick to horses. (Actually, I think "cavalry" sounds a tad obscene as well.... do I just have a dirty mind?)

Well, he did win a landslide victory, did he not? Granted, we had some messianic overtones in various confirmed left-of-centerpublications *cough*NewYorkTimes*cough*, but we also had a lot of creepy Manchurian Canditate stuff from Fox.

Yeah, full-immersion D&D is a really cool idea. Of course, it might also be nice to upload the Sanctuary Fortress from Metroid Prime Echoes. Falling disabled, of course.

Actually, I think Brad was talking about elemental shards. From my understanding, they are some kind of mana (maybe even essence?) node, as opposed to a "resource" in the conventional sense.

True, true. It seems like everybody's canted to the right or left (but mostly right) these days. Where can a guy go to get actual NEWS anymore..... and I'm NOT talking about the "tot mom".

Man, it's a shame about the bots.... my dream of letting "ARIIA" loose on humanity again just popped. But it's not really that big of a deal: I'd rather have an awesome game with no bots than a mediocre game with them. (Just be sure we don't get a mediocre game without them....... If there is a map editor, I am assuming that there is some sort of a dungeon editor as well? Or will we get to pick from a set of pre-created dungeons (hopefully that can be modded in some other way)? What I certainly don't want is for them to be sprinkled arouind the map like GalCiv anomalies! Also, I want to be able to create some really wacked-out maps, so I don't think it would be wise to have rules like in the GC2 editor where you couldn't put planets outside of three tiles of a

I for one do not like the idea of essence cost for non-permanent spells provided that essence does not regenerate (which is the impression I have gotten from other dev journals). If that was the case, I fear it would make spells WAAAAY too rare in the game, and all of those pretty animations would be wasted. Of course, if the costs and spells can be modded, I don't really care WHAT they put in, as I can change it when I get the game. (Not a big multiplayer guy). Over all, a built-in a
