Juan - the reason it is Win 2k/XP only is the extensive use of transparency and alphablending which are sumply not possible to replicate on W98SE

From memory I think one of the primary reasons that there were lots of good Hoverdesk sites and that there was no real need for duplicating what existed elsewhere. I don't think it helps or there is any sense in looking for ulterior motives as to why there are/aren't certain libraries!

Thanks to T-Man and co we now have a 'Watch List' for messages. Isn't it about time we have a 'Watch list' for skins? Personally I'd really like it if I could add a few of our favourite skins to a list and get an email (or some sort of alert on the WC page), if any of these skins is updated. Thoughts?

It strikes me that while all the applications on WC are great and of huge value, DesktopX seems to get slightly overlooked. This is an application which probably more than most has the potential to add value to the desktop as well as style. The userbase however, seems relatively small, or they are just very quiet on WC. Have there been any changes made to authorisation levels? I went to update my DXCalendar today and it went to authorisation where normally it is auto approved. ... or did I upset someone? I assume comments refer to the commentary? Using WMP on my Thinkpad I had no problems at all. It was crystal clear. WMP downloaded the latest Codec so that may have helped. Alternatively, is there a balance issue if using quadrophonic/5.1/7.1 speaker setups? Obviously my laptop is just stereo so maybe that helps. I don't think there was much of an issue with detail as the commentary described things well. After all, the demo isn't there to really showcase the detail of the game

Load the 'Blank' theme. Double click it in Explorer if it keeps crashing. A drastic measure is to delete the contents of the theme directory which is USERNAME + Theme e.g. MartinTheme or AdministratorTheme. HTH
