I will also like a feature in that realm, Right now I'm using a temp computer, and it seems I'll be using it for at least 6+ months, so I'm playing with the use only cloth map option on, and the option to do that for tactical combat as well, will really come in handy as far as the ability to play it on "weak" computers.
I asked that same question before and the answer was (by several members, but not officials) was that you have a number of enchantment slots equal to your essence, and that any maintained spell takes an enchantment slot.
Though you can cast it more then once on the same target and give it 3 more Essence every time (4 for the Death Book Version BTW).
well in the case of "refined [name here]" you can research those multiple times so they should reappear :)
