I am suffering from this, and think it is not limited to defend only, have one save with a mounted hero with the auto cast Mass curse that never really casts. She is riding a warg, so maybe it is comming from there? my champion with the shield is also fielding a warg as mount

it has been suggested elsewhere, but also the idea of having outpost upgrades would be nice, something to customize your outposts to get maybe an extra something out of the resources in the Area of influence, for instance.

I am a bit of a history fan, so I found he current cavalry implementation a bit bare bones. Personally I feel horses shouldn't be just equipment to be added, which is how it is treated right now. I feel horses should have their own associated weapons, like the Lance, to go iconic, or the Pick. I agree, at the very least a basic movement functionality to allow better world maps, taking a tip from Civ V might be a good last resort, I think. Adding some sort of warships would be awesome too, but that should be meat for an expansion.

the other option would be to only get what you earn, that is to say a unit gains XP in relation to the damage it dealt to the monster, with a special bonus for the unit that dealt the killing blow, that way the units that spent the whole battle doing nothing get no XP or a very low amount of XP (basically a flat value representing being in the battle)

Dynasties were interesting, but if they are to be brought back, I guess we'd need permakilled heroes. Not that it would be a bad thing, mind you. I am more concerned wit the general lack of Brothels and Taverns also no Dorfs that will take advantage of said institutions, plus the ones already mentioned. also, why libraries? they have no booze in them... well, maybe the lamps but that is stretching and lamp oil leaves an ugly aftertaste. Regarding Hardware, will there be support for CGA graphics? and will my game run on 640Kb of RAM?

Sigh, you know I am really regretting now ordering when I did, on August 28 :-/ Can't even remember why I didn't preordered it. For item two, the easies way is using Surcoats that, you know, are actually wore over armor as opposed to instead of, as it stands now in Elemental. Specially if you can add some iconography to said surcoat, and make some nifty Monthy Python Jokes to boot :p

Not familiar with Vista. You know I'd recommend you'd try and get 7, better product over all, but it might not be an option to you, so, not sure. It sounds like some permission issue though. Tried bugging the MS folks yet?

Think that last one is because, really, horses don't add that much to a unit, they are hard to find, hard to find the appropriate ones and add time to the build time. Really, it always felt as if it was the L1 tech missing the upgraded mounts on L2 with armor and what not (a tech called Stirrups?). Maybe add extra mobility and some defense?

Well, depends. I am not a big fan of the Mount expansion, they do look pretty and some of them actually look useful, but others are a bit too much and they do tend to add clutter to the interface, both in the shop and unit creator. Perhaps make the armored horses/Wargs Core and the rest an add in mod Flavor? I haven't played with Expanded factions or Artifact, though the latter sounds interesting, mainly because of the version gulf, So I can't give you a real answer he

Might as well answer this; Open impulse, left click on Elemental and open application folder, that is the fastest way to see where the game is installed, can't recall the default for impulse, never used the default.

what is the likelyhood of venri mines as opposed to conventionals? that might help you get a better ratio. As an asides, the Miner's guild could probably use some extra, with just a25 % bonus, it has the same as a smelter, being a guild HQ one would expect something added, be it a greater percentage or a small material bonus, perhaps? As for the Lord Hammer, damage nerf, then?

hmmm... what about this, lower and higher tiers for elemental spells, the lowers auto-unlock with the appropiated shard but the higher tier, say firestorm and the like, need the extra research. of course, if you go down that path the uber spells of each element might need some tweaking to make them worth the extra hassle

You know this brings an interesting point, the Royal Castle, tier 5, Prestige 10... makes no sense, at all. not without some serious prestige penalties like in 1.3 or something. Honestly it would have been interesting if it moddified a global prestige bonus, a small one, that would affect all the cities.
