I mean, is there a better use for a pre-game bonus point than the +25% Creativity? In the next patch, the cost for this should be upped to 4 or 5 points or so. Anyone agree? It seems like Creativity saves me at least 50 turns of research, usually much more. Incidentally, what do you all usually spend your pre-game bonus points on? I take the Creativity (obviously) and 4 points into Economy no matter what, with the balance being race dependant (but u

Not really the same, since I used the map editor to start the planet out at PQ26, but it did start with a precursor library and a teardrop morale booster, and with a PQ doubling megaevent and the Altarian bonus buildings, I had it maxed out (PQ72).

I just played as the Torians for the first time, and noticed that they have a tech that gives them PQ+5. Now, needless to say I was salivating at the thought of all my planets having 5 extra spaces, but as you all know, that didn't come to pass. What exactly does this PQ+5 do then? Is it +5%, i.e., garbage for any planet under PQ20?

Espionage: The longer your agent is on another civ's improvement, the more info you get on them. However, the target civs do know they're there, and they do mind. These agents also periodically steal techs when they're on another civ's improvement as well. Ascension resources: I've had other civilizations just let me win, so I don't think they attack you just for having these mined Lost your turn button: Everytime this has happened to me, it's because my miner is bugged.

If I quit a game and start up a new one, I get penalized with a game crash. Anyway, I read in another post that I'm supposed to copy/paste the contents of my debug.err file on this message board, so here it is. If I wasn't supposed to, my bad: Debug Message: Version v1.96 Twilight of the Arnor last updated on: Tue Jun 24 17:37:47 2008 Debug Message: Could not query reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE\Stardock\ComponentManager\Drengin.net value named Serial N

The last map I played had both the Drengin and Yor and what you describe definitely happened. Drengin had only 3 planets and the Yor only had its original 2 when everyone else was in the 10-15 range (on a huge map). It's not epidemic though, as I've had games where both expand at the usual rate.

Despite the title, I love the mega-events, it keeps things interesting. However, I was playing a huge custom map (one of the maps that came pre-built, with everything spaced out and only one planet per star), and had just made a group of ships with 26 movement points when I got the "All ships can only move 5 spaces from now on" mega-event. Anyway, imo that's by far the most irritating mega-event. What do you guys think?

I thought resources fell under the 'Anamoly' slider (hence me thinking I had them set to rare). As for why I want them out, they introduce too much of a crapshoot component to my games. I've had games where I start with 2 or 3 green resources (easy victory), others where I get 6 resources, but they're all yellow (not easy), etc. So I use them (it'd be foolish not to), I just don't like them cause they're too overpowered.

It must be the Altarians--they always get dummied, regardless of map size, in every game I play (with tech trading kept on, that is). Arceans never seem to do all that well either.
