For a game where one of the chief sells (for some people at least) are the low hardware requirements, it seems silly that netbook resolutions aren't in the game. I preordered specifically because I hoped I'd be able to play it on my msi wind u100.

Thanks guys, these are exactly the sort of replies I was after. A few questions though, 1. Can you see yourself still playing this in a week? a month? a year? What keeps you coming back? 2. Judging from the responses so far, can I take it that the demigod community isn't like the CS/DOTA "lulz newb" community? Or is it just that the game hasn't been around long enough for the pros to differentiate themselves from the noobs. 3. Is there that much

Hey guys, I've been considering getting this game for some time now, but have yet to be convinced one way or another. Can anyone tell me honest and unbiased opinions of the game? What do you like, what do you dislike, etc. Please, no fanboi-ism, no "I'm trying to be funny, so I'm just going to write "it's good" and leave it at that. I'm after something a little bit more indepth than that. Also, no need to comment on netcode issues and so on, I realise that for many it

Which doesn't make sense. It's fine if the ability stops them, but it shouldn't cancel orders and the stunlock of the marauder just equals loss if you get caught by it early game. That level of micromanagement is just annoying more than anything else.

I've been playing a few games against one of my friends recently and he always seems to kick my arse. He told me what he does is he just colonizes a planet, upgrades infrastructure once, builds mines and moves on - and spends the rest of his income on basic units. I can fight him off for a little while but eventually he has an fleet of equal size to me with more planets, though I've had some research done and my planets are a bit better developed. Anyway, he has me at a deadlock and he can just

You misunderstand. The marauder has what seems to be a perma-stun, and when it stuns (the invulnerability thing it conveys on enemy ships), it cancels those ships orders, hence my TEC capital ship was unable to leave the fight.

I just finished playing a game before, and there was one thing I noticed (a bit too late, alas), that seriously pissed me off. I'd decided attacking this Ice Planet was no longer worth it, so i ordered my troops back to my home planet. Started, y'know, playing around with the rest of my empire in the expectation that my fleet was fine, however next thing I know I get the message that my capitals ships hull is severely damaged. I look back and it turns out my capital ship is still attacking their

I'd like to be able to create subgroups under fleets and have them with a certain order modes. For example, in Fleet 1 I'd make Group 1 Capital Ships Group 2 smaller combat ships Group 3 Support ships and for certain order modes For group 1 i'd give them the order "Attack non-capital ships", while for group 3 i might do "support capital ships". These orders would be the same as setting stance to aggressive, etc.
