Disclaimer: I haven't played enough yet to firmly understand how the game currently handles this, but I wanted to respond to some of the posts here. What I see here are a lot of the same opinions on the pace of the game, but that is a narrow view. Their are other game tactics and play styles to consider. Do you want the game to be a one-trick pony, or do you want it to be versatile like SupCom? The more tactics you can support the broader your appeal, and t
Part 1 1. Does it work on your computer? Yes, I can play it. 2. Does it perform well on your computer? Work? Yes. Work well? No. But I don't think it is a hardware issue, I think it is just buggy (Alpha) software. *** Edit for clarification: All of the game elements that work run very smooth
Friggen forums keep bugging. "The reply that you tried to make got all jumbled on the way to our server. Please wait a moment and try again." Anyway, the post I keep trying to make is that engineers add tactics and game element options, and removing them would be to dumb down the game. I do have to say that I prefer the SupCom approach to engineers.
Bah! You guys SUCK! I am stuck here at work for another ... three hours! I feel *cough* *cough* sick... yea, sick! I should go home! *sigh* I guess that would be irresponsible for a lead architect, this software wont write itself. It sounded good, though! And thanks, Oxide and Stardock, for filling the gap that Chris Taylor left when his team were absorbed into World of Warfare :- )
Is it intended that the Feedback link just points back to the Founders section of the forums, or is it supposed to be more specific than that? I am very excited by the prospect of this game :-D
Awesome! I like the low-tech solution, doesn't get much simpler or more stable than that :- )
It might be nice to have a suggestions and questions section somewhere. I imagine that is coming, but for now I will just post here :- ) One of the big problems that SupCom has is the suicide bomber tactic. Take any of the experimental aircraft and fly them over units you want to destroy and let it get shot down. When it crashes it will do a ton of damage to a lot of stuff. This tactic is utterly indefensible. To test this, a friend of mi
SWEET! I love the thought process behind this, and I love the legacy the game is striving to acquire. I am a huge SupCom fan, and played my fair share of Civ too. I have Sins but I think I was hoping for a Stars! type game, it didn't hold my attention very long. I am hoping Galactic III will be closer, although I haven't had time to fire it up yet. I am a software architect, so lots of software testing at work. I am very actively testin
"Hey, there's a new patch out for your game" is hardly spam. If you don't want to hear from us at all (mailers like that go out pretty infrequently), you can do that, though I don't have the page for that handy (support would be able to get it for you).
Isn't that what the Patch button on the UI is for? But fair enough. Having an opt-out option in the account I was forced to make would be nice, though.
The web servers are in the midwest US, not at IC headquarters.
We won't spam you, and considering that email address is your link to download the entire game at any time you choose in the future, it'd probably be better to use one you're going to remember and keep access to.
I just got spam from you guys.
I'd expect that any slowness you're experiencing is due to routing issues between you and the server. Downloads from our sites average at least 700kB/s for me (and I work offsite, hundreds of miles from the servers).[/quo
The hoops one has to go through to get the initial patch is just completely uncalled for. The SN for the game, entered through the games GUI, should be enough. Making us register and give you our spam email accounts is just one sure way to make me think twice before purchasing any other games out of this dev shop. To add insult to injury, the patch is moving across what must be the slowest network on the planet. I get that you guys are a small shop, but come on. H
