I agree with a lot that has been said here and unit customisation is one of the big selling points for me in these type of games, though I wasn't really expecting too much of it from the get-go. Specialisations seems like a good idea and I personally do have a fondness for the cosmetic and gimmicky side to designing units so am hopeful more "fluff" will be added over time. I really liked the GC2 system of ship design and with mods like kryo's hulls I couldn't separate myself from it! It defin

Bah PC Gamer UK can shove it in my humble opinion. I used to be a loyal reader of theirs until they started taking the piss charging £6 for their magazine and giving over bloated scores to media hyped games like Far Cry 2 and Starcraft 2. Over time they also malformed what was originally a witty approach to writing and commentary, into a distasteful air of arrogance and elitism which didn't go down well with me. Did I mention 6 quid for a magazine? Yeah whatever P

I agree Vryllyn its why I like SD (apart from their games ofc :)) they along with Valve I personally feel are some of the only really supportive developers around who are willing to really work to improve their games post-release without expecting extra fees or a continued income of some kind. They also seem to listen to user suggestions which is a rarity in itself!

I agree with the previous posters about the scale its far from ruining the experience for me, but I must admit that it would feel a lot grander and epic if there were more units on the battlefield. I really don't see why it has to be any more difficult than simply having the individual units being nothing more than visually depicted as say 10 soldiers when taking part in a tactical battles.
