I'm not opposed to 3s although I haven't played them in ages. Figuring out a good night/time to have it is a good start. I usually have a few hours on most nights so I'm pretty flexible.

Thought I would post this old 2006 interview from Brad on the MOM license negotiations with Atari. Clarified things pretty well I think. Ridiculous demands to make on an old license... http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/1780/master_of_the_galaxy_stardocks_.php
I'm definitely down!
Summon hero could be a very high level spell that allows you to recruit a specific tier of hero. I agree that it could be too powerful until late game. It would also allow for a little more excitement and personality where heroes are concerned, which I think we can all agree is an area of weakness.
Don't be in too much of a rush to flee to Canada for Internet save haven. Not only will we be forced/our Prime Minister bending over, to follow similar lines on US Internet laws under the pretense of joint security, but our ISPs are already so monopolized that three telecoms own 94% of the market and charge $40+/month for 16GB of data and 3mb/s connection(if you're lucky) for a basic internet package. Not to mention the $2/gb overage charges. To get 250gb of data usage, you would have
Also gave [e digicons]k1[/e] for JonathanEngr . Particularly like your shard ideas. They deserve their own thread imo. Cheers!
EviliroN: I've also been playing it with the last patch Micropose put out (although I wouldn't mind trying out this 1.4 patch). I'm not really sure what your beef is when it comes to wizard customization. There are always going to be stronger options to take in similar circumstances. That doesn't mean having those other options is bad, or necessarily mean bad game design. I would rather have too many options, including ones I would never personally choose, because they
I reserve this space until 11:59pm Dec 20.
BastWorshiper ! Could not agree with you more. I echoed the same feelings about heroes here if at all interested: https://forums.elementalgame.com/417120/page/2/#3077700 I should clarify that I have nothing against a good challenge with AI, it just isn't the end all, be all to me. If the g
I will fully admit bias towards MOM, but here is the thing...if I was that jaded by my opinions of the game then, why would I still play and enjoy it today? There was no epiphany for me that the game was inferior to subsequent releases. If anything, I realized how much is missing from games made since. That isn't to say there haven't been great games released since then in the genre (Civ IV, King's Bounty series, Disciples 2 to name a few) I don't always want a big cha
Personally, my love of MOM had nothing to do with balance. It had everything to do with unique heroes that could be leveled up in an interesting way, had lots of different abilities and tons of customization through spells, dungeons/nodes spoils etc. Hero stats were also randomized, so that upper tier heroes wouldn't play out the same way each game. They didn't need a fancy splash screen with a background to give them personality, it was innate. You were excited when Summon Champion w
It's clear this is not the direction the game is going in. Although, it would be interesting to have a unit in a stack that granted bonuses, while not taking part in combat.
Amumu should really only be played in the jungle. I play him fairly often and although not my best champ, with a half decent team you will win most of your games. I have to get better at initiating with bandage toss though.
I remember reading that the development team can only test so many hardware compositions and that it was a key function of the beta to do just that, so I'm not sure why people are surprised at this fact...Being all doom and gloom isn't going to help anyone. Assuming that the game engine is that inherently flawed would mean this is all a complete waste of time. Venting is important, but I think this thread sends the wrong message. The beta has just started.
IMO: Tweaking the rate the heroes level and the traits they have available to them should be done first before implementing more major mechanics such as limiting the # of heroes per army stack or changing what happens if they die.
I praise FE for being engaging enough that I want to keep playing it. I probably didn't give WOM enough of a chance, but the fact is, I just wasn't hooked. Despite crashes, I want to keep playing FE, because I enjoy it. I gave FE a first spin last night and besides Maul destroying far too many of my armies and a few crashes, I quite enjoyed the experience. Heroes are fun to level up. Although the heroes themselves may not be as memorable/unique as I would like, having them be
Haven't seen Sejuani in action yet. Been taking a few days off LOL and stuck on Kings Bounty: Armored Princess. I'm also moving soon and hoping to have a better internet situation.
Quoting Whisker_Fish, reply 53 Civ V is easier to get into than Civ IV That I can agree too, but its miles behind in quality, depth and interesting choices in my humble opinion.
I guess I just never saw Civ as a series that needed to be all that accessible. It's already such a huge time commitment to play through a normal speed game, that if you had the patience for that, you had the patience for anything. <
I'd have to say Civ IV. The amount of hours I've put into that game far exceed any other. I have mixed feelings about everyone who quantified their Civ IV choice with the Fall From Heaven mod. I love the mod and got a lot of enjoyment out of it, but it wouldn't exist without the strength of Civ IV as a game itself. As for Civ V...It's the first Civ game I couldn't get into since I played the first one on my 386. It looks pretty though.
Someone else played Birthright?! I spent a lot of hours on that game. If someone made just the tbs version of that game, I would buy it. Maybe a few less bugs :D
KrdaxDrkrun I could give you some help sometime if you like. My username is The Dude II.
Between the mastery changes and now the jungle redo, I officially am lost when it comes to jungling...
Quite the drama for CLG with the whole Elementz getting kicked out/Doublelift in thing yeah. Chauster is getting a lot of hate. Mid is something I need to work on. I can do fairly well with Lux mid, but it's tough to beat high burst champs like Brand/Leblanc/Annie. One surprise flash, burst, dead. To roam well mid, you would probably need a better farm and a kill on the enemy mid champ. Bot lane is definitely my strongest. Maokai top can be pretty fun. I will likely
Thanks for the game last night folks. I thought we all played well. Karl, you are so brave with Panth haha. I caught on to your playstyle eventually. Panth and Janna was actually a pretty good combo. Pacov, your Rammus has improved nicely. Just make sure not to dragon when Karl and I are almost dead haha.
We all have to start somewhere. I had never played ANY DOTA style games before getting into LOL. I did absolutely terrible in the beginning. I'm not going into specifics, but it took me far too long to figure out how tower aggro worked ;D So don't feel bad. The Tutorial is a good way to start like others said. Get a feel for last hitting minions, the range of different champ spells, learning summoner spells and when to use them, etc. There are tons of resources for you to lea
