Does anybody know the specifics for obtaining specific core ship designs in Twilight of the Arnor? Considering that there are new and different technology trees in TOA, I would expect different requirements for obtaining ship designs like the Sledge Hammer, Avatar, and Star Dragon. Also I am asking this because I only seem to obtain ship designs that include the Battle Axe, the Phoenix, and the Dreadnought. Does the tech requirements for each ship also differ for each species?

So wait, where do you go to impulse to register your Cd's serial numbers? I'm hoping that that will work by registering my serial numbers via Impulse. However as I said earlier Impulse refuses to accept my serial numbers when I try to download the new game versions. In other words, if you go to Impulse and register your Serial numbers there, the multiverse account setup will recognize your serial numbers as valid?

I'm having the same problem creating a metaverse account that SW is encountering. I will try to see if the valid serial number is the problem. However, I am also having the same issue with "valid serial numbers" when it comes to downloading updated versions of GCII from impulse so I don't know.

I think this is the most appropriate place to place this topic on. Anywho, I used impulse to download Twilight of the Arnor after I bougth it online. However, whenever I try to download the updated versions of Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords, Dark Avatar, Twilight of the Arnor, and Sins of a Solar Empire, Impulse gives me an error report that states that impulse was unable to download the updates due to the "fact" that my serial numbers for the games were "incorrect". The thing is

What difficulty are you playing on Bently 241 when the jagged knife usually appear? Because usually when I play on normal, they are not aggresive at all. It doesn't matter what alignment I am playing as, the Jagged knife will ALWAYS show up when there are no wars occuring. They also tend to be whatever alignment I am playing as in the game. Since I am usually pissed off when they seize some of my worlds, I just invade EVERY LAST PLANETof the Jagged Knife. [e digicons]XO[/e]

I haven't tried to play at the higher difficulty levels such as Tough, Suicidal, and Masochistic for Twilight of the Arnor but I hope to in the near future. Any advice from the seasoned players out there? Any tips, hints, or even strategies that anybody would like to share for everyone? Especially considering Stardock tweaked the economy and brought up the maintainance costs up a notch. That can easily be remedied via catagorizing certain worlds for mainly economy, and others for researc

It doesn't look like it in the US unfortunately. Because of that, you have to order it online. You can either have it downloaded onto your computer or order the cd. It really makes no sense as to why they aren't selling TOA in the stores. Then again, in my part of the US (Wisconsin) it is pretty rare to be able to find Galactic Civilizations II, yet again a gold edition. I was lucky I was able to find my copies when and where I found them. Bdw, does anybody know specifi
Oh? If your teammate the Iconians don't have the techs, then it got patched to remove them. Sneaky sneaky... Well, depending on what your current relations are w/ the Krynn, you may need to slug it out and learn the techs yourself. That may just be quicker than trying to build relations up. w/o the ability to buy the techs, it really makes this mission more fun. With them buyable, the mission was done

I tried downloading the beta onto my computer via Impulse yet for some reason I keep on getting the error sign that tells me that I can't upgrade without the game's serial number even though I clearly typed in the serial number for Sins of Solar Empire. I also keep on getting the same error whenever I try to download the upgrade betas for Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords and it's two expansion packs; Dark Avatar and Twilight of the Arnor. Can anybody shed light upon what is go
Terror Stars can be fleeted. However they don't add anything radical to a fleet's offensive capabilities, so basically you need only fleet them for peace of mind in case one of the enemy fleets gets in close enough to take a potshot at the exhaust port.
That is true. The drawback, however is that if you have the terror star within a fleet and you detonate the terror star on a star system while it is fle
You can get the terror star techs and a planet outside the system from trade with your iconian allies.
Thanks for the idea. But there are two issues I am having with that suggestion as I am still stuck on trying to complete this last mission. 1) You don't get the techs through the Iconians, the Krynn have all stages of Terror Star Developement. 2) No matter with whatever I have to try and barter with them, they refuse to share wi

It would be best if you simply used the Super Dominator Covettes ASAP before they send your economy into bankcrupcy against the enemy. Or better yet, dimantle the extra Super dominator corvettes you dont need after you attack the enemy and instead build stronger ships.

What you really should've done was colony rush all 5 planets in that star system in the beginning of the game before the Iconians or the Krynn can get to them. Just a tip for any future replays of the TOA campaign.

Influence the planets away from them in your main star system that you must destroy but what you really should've done was colony rush all 5 planets in that star system before the Iconians or the Krynn can get to them. That however isn't my main concern for this mission, it is the fact that it will take me over 130 weeks just to research each stage of the terror star construction. How on Earth are you supposed to accomplish the research when you have a tanking economy of -745 billion credits

I'm not doing so hot on that mission even though I am given 3 Arnorian battlecruisers, 2 Arnorian battleships, and 1 Arnorian Dreadnaught. Thats the thing, all 5 of those ships are slowing my economy WAY down and in almost all of the missions (except the previous mission where you have to befriend the Iconians) you can't stop your economic budget from going into negative defecit freefall and can only work against the clock to invade the specific planet required to win the mission. My question fo
