I don't remember the quest name, but I stepped on one that was too high level at the time and chose the option to come back later. After that, every turn, regardless of where that unit stack was, it would pop up the menu of undergoing the quest's fight or coming back later. i restarted and reload but bug was still there. Medium, challenging, 4-5 enemies, epic, 3-6 beers, one strong smoke before the game starts and several throughout the night until I pass out at the keyboard. Haven't won the game yet in Beta 4, but I doubt that's any fault of Froggy's.
Yeah, man. In three decades of adventure gaming, this is my favorite one. This one and Adventureland on the Vic 20. And Civ II. That one ate my life. Thanks for a monster of a game!
To me, and I've odd tastes, the Normal pacing gives it up too fast and the slow tech setting is a little too slow. Somewhere between the two would be sweet. I haven't had the chance to play too far yet, so I haven't experienced how long the upper techs take. The early ones seem to fly by.
I love that we're now at a point with this game's development where the most often mentioned critiques within a thread are those concerning sound effects. Excellent work! This has been an immensely fun gaming experience so far (notwithstanding the first few days after WoM came out, obviously).
My biggest gripe so far has been the lack of documentation, whether in-game, online, or paper. I would prefer that over a complete tutorial any day. However, after seeing the huge number of changes being made in the specific values of all sorts of things throughout the game, I understand that extensive documentation would end up being inaccurate in lots of spots unless written after most, if not all, of these alterations occurred.
