Hey Furibar, could you elaborate a bit more about the Engineering mod?

Hey all! For my first games I have been playing with all world settings in balanced / moderate, but I wonder if some other settings make the game even more entertaining. I've read somewhere that choosing desert map type, raising monster frequency to dense and lowering magic and resource frequence to sparse makes for a greater feeling of a post-apocaliptic world. Seems logical, but, is it fun to play? Which other settings are entertaining? Thanks for your comment
Sorry, what¡s Paragon? Could you explain please? ;)
I agree that randomness has to be well done in order to add to the experience. One problem with the random tech approach is that not all the techs cost the same. Another problem is that when you are picking a "tech level-up" you can't see the tech tree and that makes the choice a blind one unless you know the game very well. I think that if you want to add randomness to the tech part it's better to follow a Master of Orion II approach. In that game techs did not
Maybe the purpose is to keep the challenge in later turns?

Whith all respects, I think your figures are mistaken. Hello, I would like to propose a suggestion to make sovereign defeats a bit more important. Right now when a sovereign is defeated, the only consequence is coming back to the capital, being paralized for a few turns and paying a small amount of mana. I understand that not killing the sovereign (or the champion) is a good choice, but perhaps there could be a more meaningful consequence without having to resort to death. My proposal is that when a sovereign is defeated it causes
I am in a very similar position, so I will add my own "thank you" to this thread. I also preordered WoM, and despite I never lost track, real life issues prevented me from trying Fallen Echantress until past week. It's been 10 days now and I think it's enough to say that I have slept very few hours during that time ;) Last monday I just checked my watch and it was 4am! I had not suffered from "just one more turn" problems since Civ 4 / Heroes III times. Of c
