Thanks, but how would I figure out which driver to get?
Ultimate_Waffle
I'd like to add that this wasn't "immediately" after the crash, but I didn't load up the game at all after it occured. Am I going to have to get the crash to happen again first?

I have the Ultimate Edition, and it works just fine; but it crashes after a few turns. Is there any way to remedy this? Thanks for any help.
Are there any good strategy guides for this game? I remember reading a guide about a year ago for the Original version of the game, and it helped me a lot. I can't find it anymore, though.
Nevermind, I figured it out.
Nevermind, I figured it out.
I see. I tried to figure out how to construct a starbase, but I couldn't see how to do it. What do I need to do before I can build a starbase?
I forgot to ask another question I had. How do I effectively defend a planet whenever I don't have a fleet nearby? I have Entrenchment now, by the way.
Thank you for the advice.
Very well, I will buy Entrenchment. What would be a good opening strategy for it?
I forgot to mention, I don't have any of the expansion packs. I was thinking of buying Entrenchment at a later date, however.
The problem is, I don't remember any good ways to play. My specific question is, what's generally a good way to start off? If you could give your personal opinions, or even point me to a good newbie strategy guide, I'd be eternally grateful.
Wow, most of those are great ideas. I especially liked the one about managing taxes on a planet by planet basis.
I love how one can customize one's own ships in Galactic Civilizations II. However, I find ground battles to be quite boring. I would like to be able to customize my ground troops and vehicles. I would also like to actually watch them fight. How about everybody else? What would you like to see?
Here is a ship that I created. I call it Leviathan.
I prefer maps with multiple stars, but I also want the map to balance the players out. An example would be a map with three stars and nine players, and the players are spread out in a fashion that there are three players per star. I've been looking at the maps that came with the game, but I only saw maps where all players were located in just one star or there were 5 stars; and it put five players in one star and another 5 in a second star and left the other three stars empty.
Thanks for your answer.
In the achievements list, it says that you must cover 75% of the galaxy with your culture (or something to that effect) in order to unlock this achievement. The reason why this confuses me is because you're not really conquering galaxies; you're conquering solar systems. Unless, of course, it really meant to say to cover 75% of the map with your culture; then that would make sense. I'm still confused, because I've already covered 75% of the map with my culture. How would I go about
Yes, it should be in the non-hostile part of the tech tree. The name of the tech tree is dependent on race, of course. It should be pretty early in the tech tree.
Thanks for the replies, I could've sworn that I read you could somewhere. Oh well, thanks for the link Ke5trel.
Nevermind, I finally figured it out. :NOTSURE:
I downloaded replays that were from patch 1.03, and of course it doesn't work. Is there anyway to delete them?
I'm new to this game, and I wanted to observe matches in progress to see if I'll learn anything out of them.
Couldn't you just pause the game by pressing Pause/break on your keyboard? That would give you time to use the restroom.
