Hi all, On launch the game was immediately crashing to desktop. I figured out the problem after some troubleshooting. I use ATI tray tools to do a refresh rate lock to 85hz. I'm one of those holdouts with a CRT (albeit a 22.5" widescreen CRT). Running anything but 85hz requires fixing geometry and other issues, so staying at 85hz is important. ATI tray tools seems to be the only utility that does this well. Once I shut down ATI tray tools, the g

I still didn't see an answer as to why the guy who got the game new couldn't play it from the disc. It smacked of DRM - activation required - exactly the thing I hate about DRM. Any word yet on why he couldn't simply install and play it from the disc? Or does the game truly require Impulse activation?

Question: I saw the guy with the thread who bought the game early and couldn't play. I'm just curious - if there is no activation with Impulse, why couldn't he play the game in single-player mode out of the box? This seems at odds to the no-DRM premise of this thread.
