Hi all, On launch the game was immediately crashing to desktop. I figured out the problem after some troubleshooting. I use ATI tray tools to do a refresh rate lock to 85hz. I'm one of those holdouts with a CRT (albeit a 22.5" widescreen CRT). Running anything but 85hz requires fixing geometry and other issues, so staying at 85hz is important. I still didn't see an answer as to why the guy who got the game new couldn't play it from the disc. It smacked of DRM - activation required - exactly the thing I hate about DRM. Any word yet on why he couldn't simply install and play it from the disc? Or does the game truly require Impulse activation?

Question: I saw the guy with the thread who bought the game early and couldn't play. I'm just curious - if there is no activation with Impulse, why couldn't he play the game in single-player mode out of the box? This seems at odds to the no-DRM premise of this thread.
