The easiest way (for you) with the least amount of modding required is to make a mod folder for your mini-mod. Then rename his textures to match the current Sins texture names. These would go in your mini-mods Textures folder.
Excellent, that worked great. Thanks!

I visited their website, but there's no download buttons, even though my games are listed with the proper serial numbers.

We seemed to lose anyway so I minimized Demigod and started playing WoW. Because demigod needs large ressouces for an strategy game my pc went quite slow and after some minutes I was droped. In my case it was not intentional but I still would do it again (playing WoW in a horrible game). So perhaps h

Could work, but I imagine games would last very long if the teams are evenly matched (or even if they're not). Whats the last part of your post? Are those suggestions to Stardock/GPG, or what?

Maybe, but most of the maps are small enough and the camera is usually zoomed out enough that I've never had any problem figuring out where I am in a game. Maybe you just need to play a bit more. What I'd like to see is the ability to right-click on the minimap and move your demigod to that location. As it is, the minimap is a non-interactive layer, so clicking on it instead interacts with whatever object in the 3D world is behind the minimap.

Star Trek > Star Wars. I could spend a few paragraphs listing various reasons off the top of my head, but it's pretty late, so I'm just gonna go ahead and wrap this up. TRANSPORTERS. Thanks for playing, Star Wars.

Asking FPS vs. RTS in a message board for an RTS will probably give you a skewed result; guess which side it'll be skewed towards? Anyway, I prefer FPS. Better storylines, more character interaction and development, and generally more vibrant worlds. While there are a few exceptions (such as World in Conflict), FPSs generally are more realistic and more story-based. Mind you, I'm not talking about generic games like (bracing for flame) Halo 3 or most COD games. I'm talking about games

I know this isn't the exact same thing, but, to dumb it down a bit, it's essentially Left 4 Dead in RPG form and with two teams? Sounds good to me. Co-op FTW (even though it's kind of competitive co-op).

I'm glad it wasn't Zero Punctuation. I've seen some of his reviews, and even though I didn't really like those games, he seemed to be criticizing them for all the wrong reasons. I know it's mostly supposed to be funny, but still. Anyway, it's nice to see Demigod get good reviews after its rather shaky beginning.

What was wrong with the miniature? I have a collector's edition and the miniature is great. It may not be colored, but it's very detailed and generally seems pretty high-quality. Anyway, I'm pretty sure ordering off the website will get you the collector's edition.

How does writing "k thx bye!!!" "make sure [the very big actual problem] was going to be addressed"? Anyway, you'll have to be more specific. Can you not select the abilities in the first place; or does the user interface reflect that they were selected, but nothing happens? Also, if you're going to say "k thx bye", you should do it the proper way, which is "kthxbai".

I can't believe this thread exists. First of all, connection problems probably wouldn't be any better as the game would likely still use P2P. Also, controls would be terrible. As a previous post said, how would you deal with panning across the map, selecting skills to learn, or buying items/citadel upgrades? Not to mention casting spells or even just attacking/moving. Sure, it could work like other RTS games where there's a cursor in the center of the screen, but the game is too fast-paced fo

I've played DotA sparsely, but I just wanted to point out a few things in JinxOfSin's negatives for Demigod.
-controls are sluggish. Heros don't immediately respond. Sometimes they don't respond at all (never happened to me, but my team mates complained about this before)
I used to play DotA rarely, but enough to remember the controls. Demigods are a bit more sluggish, but not really much more so than D

While I wouldn't consider myself a Marza "fanboy" (it's usually one of the last capships I build), I don't hate the design like so many others seem to; it's designed for functionality, not aesthetics, and it's certainly intimidating.

Huh? We can control our "guy" just fine. This is just a matter of being able to press a single button and stopping a Demigod from moving into enemy territory or casting a spell after a target has left the AoE. As it is, we have to tell it to move somewhere else, which can be awkward and annoying. Asking for a (very) small feature that every other RTS/RPG has hardly means we can't play the game correctly.

No offense, but I'm sure Stardock/GPG would've thought of that. There's probably a reason it's sequential (if it is). Of course, I could be wrong, and that could be one of the things they're planning on fixing. I try to pay attention in the daily status updates, but there's so much they're attempting to fix and it's hard to keep track.

Download the Demigod Replay Loader in the first post in this thread, and follow the instructions: http://www.gamereplays.org/community/index.php?showtopic=405375 It's not officially supported, and it isn't very stable, but it gets the job done.

I've noticed this, too. I think it probably has to do with the unpredictability of the human player. With the enemy all-AI team, the bots can "communicate" and execute tactics with each other. The allied AI could very well be trying to do the same thing, but the human player could make it unnoticeable/impossible. Of course, it could just be done on purpose to make the tournament more challenging.
