Psychomatica

Hello, can someone tell me how long it took them to learn how to play this game and how difficult it was\is to understand? The game sounds and looks really good but I hate buying strategy games where the tutorials are inadequate and I am required to read the forums to know what I should be doing (e.g Paradox Interactive games). I guess I am hoping that it's as easy as Civ 5 so I can play effectively pretty quickly. Thanks for the feedback...
