the concept in galciv worked but it was also boring since there was no real difference between the weapon/defence types they could have named guns/laser/missle -> squirrels/pigeons/turtels and it would have been the same gameplay wise. What the spells need is not 10 different types of damage, but a lot different effects (knockdown, burning, petrifing, freezing, confusing, weakening, frithening, ... just look at the dnd spells and you get a good idea of what is possible especialy wi
