The Steam part is really bad news. Steam has got to be one of the worst services made. It is down hours every day, has terrible customer service and is run by someone who hates competition and wants to rule the digital distribution world while not making Steam stable or friendly. I have been through many nightmares with Steam and their service, the best example being Borderlands. Selling you an unplayable game because of DRM and then refusing to give a refund or anything, just saying to

Whenever I try and use the explore button to make any army auto explore, it seems to do nothing at all.
Two things I noticed that are issues are: 1.) Ships can be loaded into other ships. Doesn't seem this should be allowed. 2.) When selecting units and moving them into the fog I often do not get the marker showing my units have a real destination. I never know if they are actually set to go where I hope they are or not.
I think the largest issue with people migrating to IE9 is business. Unfortunatley my company (22,000 employees) has so many legacy applications and web tools that we are stuck on IE6 forever. No one in IT has the spine to to tell various business groups to get rid of their legacy stuff or else. But I am looking forward to IE9 for my own personal use for sure.
Thank you mormegil, those settings changes did the trick. The game now opens.
I apologize for not using the correct format. Please see the following: http://pastebin.com/st3apxrB http://pastebin.com/pf3mGeRa http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6282761/Elemental0_3-2010-04-19T14-08-32-17.zip
When I attempt to run Elemental, I get a black screen on primary monitor for a few seconds then application closes. Nothing is ever displayed and no errors ever come up.
I hope it will work well. I certainly do not like Steam and would like to see Impulse be the big name in town.
One problem with Impulse Reactor... at least in Demigod, it simply didn't work. Doesn't matter much to me, I can't stand playing games on the internet anyways. It's all about the LAN. =)
I am so sad. I live near Seattle, and was about to order my tickets when I realized I volunteered to work over Labor Day weekend. Oops. Oh well, I am sending my sister in my place. I can't wait to here the report from the booth!
I just pre-ordered today, very much looking forward to it. Curious, Impulse lists a release date of February 15th and yet the blogs on the website say beta will come out in June. Any ideas on what the timeframe for a beta is?
