Thanks. Is the Stardock issue behind my inability to use the standalone installer for the game, too? (Maybe there are leftover registry entries for the old version of Elemental.) I'd be fine not using the Stardock/GameStop client if I could just install and play the game. I'll follow up with support.
I was an Elemental pre-order and I played the game for a few dozen hours, back when it was still pretty messy. I decided about a year ago to get back into it, and that's when my problems started. I tried updating Stardock (after the GameStop takeover) and the process stalled, and I haven't been able to play the game since then.
