You'll have to add me to the list of doom-sayers. I can agree to a point that a lot of people are more intellegent than schools are teaching them to be. Which is really a whole 'nuther topic, but schools clearly need to be massively revamped. That said, I think there really is only so much "knowledge work" to be done, or at least marketable, regardless of how smart people are. Just my $0.02. I would love to see StarDock officially state that WB 3.5 is the last version for Win 9x. Of course that is easy for me to say, I only use XP and 2000. (XP at home, 2000 at the office.) But it's 2003. Windows 2000 is 3 years old, and XP is over a year old. Its time to retire 9x. (Of course, it was time to retire 9x the day they were released... )

By the way, I believe that iRider works with most pop-up blocker utilities. So, while I find iRider's default behavior for popups satisfactory, but for those that don't, go ahead and use a popup blocker.

I started a thread in the Message Board about alternative browsers, and mentioned iRider. Since it doesn't do skinning, I didn't think that it was a suitable topic for the news section on this site. But, since it is here, well, I love iRider, and paid for it. But I think $30 is a trivial amount of money for a good product, even if good products are also available for free. I personally found that adding a new page for every single navigation to be way too much, which is the default.

??? Why must everything depend on Stardock??? That's a very strange comment to me... Although Microsoft is indeed seeing that customizing and personalizing computers is becoming popular, and they adding more and more such features to the OS with every new release. I notice that the news item about Phase Out has been pulled off the news list, I assume because of the controversy about the default skin being a ripoff of Abaracadabara. But, it was via that incident that I learned about the world of skinable makovers for IE. At first, I didn't think much of it, after all, WebBlinds can do that, right?
