Sometimes it stops at the "Waiting for renderer" message for me. Also, I'm sure the itself hangs because a segment of the audio loops forever. This isn't always obvious because then it sounds like some ambient sound effect.

One weakness is the prerequisites on the tech tree. TEC at least get damage for their LRMS. Advent gets what? Culture spread. It sounds like something you put on bread.

I'll buy mini-expansions on one condition: they must be good. But hey, I'm sure you already know that. Leinad/LinkesAuge makes a good point. Expansions will split the online community. I'd look at solutions that other games have used. Dawn of War - Expansions add new races, but people without expansions can still use the old ones. Guild Wars / Magic: The Gathering - Expansions add new skills/cards. Note that the player can only use a set number of skills/cards. This means t

Because fighters deal anti-light damage. Anti-light damage is weak against medium armor, the armor of cobalts.
The only complaint I have is regarding the extra planetary bonuses. In particular I have a problem with the mostly negative planetary bonuses. The issue I have is that I pay money and resources for the people on the planet to suddenly realize that there is this horrifyingly high radiation count on the planet and they just now realize that there was supposed to be a couple hundred less people on the planet, but up until then it was fine. I guess what I'm asking is if it is possible for

Without taking gameplay into account at all, I enjoyed having the Illuminator have a different damage type. Looking at a damage/armor type chart and seeing a row reserved for the Illuminator makes Advent people feel special. The economy fix is nice though.
What irks me is the 'solar systems' in sins. I mean, with something as dumb as that they could have just completely dropped the pretense of using words like 'solar systems' and called it .. I dunno, 'sack of orbitless motionless planets'.To be honest, regardless of how good this game is, I'm ashamed to show it to my nephews because even the 5 year old would look at it and say 'who's the idiot who drew this then?'
I interpret the "solar system" view as a visualization of the phase l

Mouseover your current metal/crystals OR the "Criminal Underground" button to see the buy/sell prices on the black market. This way, the buy/sell hotkeys can be used better. The time to the next pirate raid can also be placed in the mouseover info for the "Criminal Underground" since there's nothing else there. Add the option to show the time elapsed in a corner of the screen. This helps people analyze the speeds of doing certain strategies and lets us know when we've played too mu
However, that's not the point: when trying to achieve critical mass with a demo, it's not about the real value but all about PERCIEVED value.

My thesis: The time limited mechanism decreases the perceived value of the demo and is therefore a less effective marketing tool to get people to buy this game. Even if it turns out that it's actually a more valuable proposition, the percievement is what stops people from playing the demo in the first place.
