The reason for this is that SDs shipping centers doesnt include a receipt with values in the package, and there is no customs declaration on the packages to let the customs know what it is and what the value is.. I noticed this on my box when it arrived last week, it took 5 weeks from i ordered till it arrived at customs and another week of delay due to me having to sort out the paperwork. Ordered my CE the weekend before release. Not arrived yet. Shipment destination is Sweden. Been 3weeks plus change now. I will contact SD next monday with a demand for explanation since i was promised that it was sent on releaseday in an email query... There are alot of people who have gotten duplicate boxes, i just hope this doesnt mean that they have to make more CE's in order to ship to those who has ordered it....
Its not a bug afaik, this was even mentioned in some of the beta videos. Makes you think about how you shape your city :)

I had completely forgotten the system from Ars Magica myself. We never got around to playing that but i remember buying the book.. That would kinda be a sick thing to have in a computer game tho, but im not sure how it could be implemented..

Yeah thats a valid option aswell. I think the reason i got caught up in the sliders and stuff is that it makes for a more free environment, where you actually feel in control of the magic, so to speak.. And yeah, any changes coming to spells would be welcome i think. As it is now its pretty generic.. :)

Im in tactical combat with another sovereign. Ive killed Magnar III and all my units have spent their points at which point im not able to end turn nor take any other actions. End turn is greyed out, if i select my units i get the blue squares etc but not able to issue commands. Esc does not bring up the menu. I have this problem aswell. Occuring randomly after a while, however my combat sounds are completely gone, and they do not return when i go to overland map and back into combat.... I also loose spelle/ranged effects etc. Also i dont have any overland particle effects, nor any particle effects on spells? They are cartoony with no sparklies... :P Not sure if this is by design..
I noticed the same thing last night in 1.01. Wasnt able to test 0-day patch due to the delay in deployment.
