Just make auto-combat better (some options like autocombat with/without spells, autocombat retreat, and fire archers for 2 rounds before melee combat starts). If you do that, people can choose any way they like to play.

I am trying to make a mod that lets a monster join you after it has been defeated (just like you get gold, or an item, but in this case the monster joins your army). I have made the following mod file, but it is not working properly. The problem is that this mod results in a game where at the start I am able to train a peasant, a pioneer, and an undefined unit without picture. What am I doing wrong? This mod is supposed to build on the existing "GiantBlackWidow", but it appear

I am noticing that the AI is not trying to trade with others to get for example metals. For example, in the game I play right now, I noticed that Irane was training spiders, but she had much stronger designs already built. I then noticed she didn't have any metals, so I traded some metals with her for money (she has more than 100,000 gold). Then, when she finished training the spiders, she started building a strong unit with war hammers. So to improve the AI, I sugge

I am noticing during my games that the AI is not using the shop. For exampe, in the game I play right now, Irane has 113000 money, but her son is not wearing any armour at all. She builds armies that use armor, so she should be able to buy it from the shop. It is a pity, because she would be really powerful if she would use some of that money to give her heroes equipment.

I am playing elemental from the first version, but I keep having the same problem with contract between tiles. See the screenshot I have made, where you can see that many tiles are completely black, and it is difficult to recognize any units. I have a similar problem with the normal game map, that is why I use the cloth map. For combat there is no cloth map, so I need to use auto-resolve. Does any1 know if this is a bug, or if there is another solution?

I like building my sovereign, and also building the other heroes that I recruited. It would be great if killing monsters would yield equipment that my heroes can use! You could even have unique items in that way, for which only one exists on the game, but which you can steal by killing the opponent heroes.

I have been playing elemental with 100% auto-resolve. I really enjoy the game, and in my opinion 'auto-resolve' makes the game more challenging, because the normal battles can often become too easy. With the experience I now have with auto-resolve, I propose the following improvements: 1) When using auto-resolve, it is important to note the order of the units in the army, because this is the other in which they will be attacking the enemy. You don't want your weakest unit to h

Research the adventure techs first, and select the advances that give additional goodie huts. This will give you lots of money, so you can buy equipment for your sovereign. Make non-aggression agreements with the other factions, and you can buy equipment in their shops.

Unique items: These are items from which there is only 1 in the game, for example it was the result of a quest. The special thing about them is that when you defeat the hero that uses the item, you will get the item yourself. This allows mods to make games where you have to collect all fragments of an item, and you get the items through quests, and through defeating the opponents heroes that did the quest before you.

Great how you combined this list. I shows that you pay attention to our feedback. Here is one thing I am missing: If you control many shards, your magic spells should get stronger. This is indeed the case if you 'auto-resolve' the battle, but if you play the battle you don't seem to get the shard bonus on your spells. Example: in a late game, my hero does around 100 damage with lightning in 'auto resolve', but when playing the battle, it is normally around 4 - 10.

I would like to use the auto-combat option more often, especially against small enemies. The problem, however, is that there is a big difference between auto-combat and actual battles. Some examples and some suggestions to solve it. I use stone giants I summon with 'rogoths promise'. This unit can summon boulders from the sky to drop on the enemy. If I do the battle myself, it is good to start the fight with this spell. However, in auto-combat I don't see them use this ability.</

I fully agree with you. I am actually only playing on the cloth map, because of the reasons you give. Good points on the bug reports / ideas. I experience the same. There is also another bug I sometimes notice, and this is that sometimes when I return from saving the game, the normal map is back. I then need to click the option 'only cloth map' twice to get back to the cloth map.
