I also feel a Wiki could be very useful, but don't have any experience in setting one up.

Are there rare Champions also? I think I got a troll Champion (lvl 5 or 7ish) /Kingdom/ which had no magic, +5 Hp/level, 50% vulnerable to magic and something more I cannot remember. I was eating dinner at the same time, so I had little focus on it, and decided to reload quickly after to check the other Champions abilities. After reloading some and looking on the other Champions I couldn't get the troll to be offered again. Don't think I find him on the list of Kingdom champio
Great questions, I also want them answered. IMHO an important aspect of 6) Initiative is to determine who gets to act first? If two opposing units can kill eachother in two blows, then even +1 can be important. It could make the difference of being able to hit first, then receive damage and then hit/kill (instead of the oppsosite). This is simplified as ranged attacks or movement also affects who gets to attack first - but still shows its situatio
4) I use the Tab-key to check what units AND cities need orders. Tabbing will hop to the next unit with movemet left and any city that has finished its production (and thereby need a new production order). :)
@ Smeagolheart Ok, understood. Thanks for the explanation Frogboy. I enjoy games more when I know what most gameplay parameters. And coming from a new player; I think that monster behaviour seems good, especially as players otherwise would "pull" monsters from their lairs to loot it. (PS only eleet people have frog avatars.. ;) )
I agree that I want more future DLCs. :) And come on guys, $5 is not much as it goes to a good game company. Compare that sum to other "not very necessary" purchases or expenditures you have had lately!?
It might be that the monsters attack the player more frequently on high difficulties and at the same time treats AI-players like it would have a human player on lower difficulty (i.e not attacking them often)? If so, then the perception of being "unfairly" attacked often is correct on higher difficulties (which Frogboy also writes). I see no reason why Frogboy would lie about this. IMHO the debate could be caused by a mix up of randomness and posts from
Thanks for the answers. :) Great list Abob101. [e digicons]:sun:[/e] Edit: thanks for mentioning the mod also. Will definately get that to my next game. https://forums.elementalgame.com/445026/page/1/ and http://fallenenchantress.nexusmods.com/mods/1082
I've encountered a variation to AI-stealing. I cleared monsters from a good patch for an outpost, but before it arrived the AI outposted the spot. Grr. IMHO this is good AI-tactics, so nothing to be upset about. But yesterday I did not clear a monster group close by an far out AI-outpost on purpose, hoping the mobs will attack/destroy the outpost so I outpost it instead. EDIT: from Frogboy's post I understand I need some luck, so that the monster start attacking. EDIT: from Fr
When designing a new Sovereign there are some hard choices to make. Which magic to start with impacts the Sovereign initially; e.g. "Do you want an early Tutelage bonus of +25% Xp or not?". And it also affects the starting city/cities somewhat (even though this diminish over time as you get more/better city-buffs), e.g. "Do you want the Enchanted Hammers (+1 material) or Inspiration bonus (+1 research) from start?". Therefore I concluded that your first Champion also has an im
Good to know. It may be that he has double horses... I'll check. EDIT: now I cannot see any horse on the bard (so you were correct) - but his Picture shows a horse and he has good move. I think I saw the horse in the Equipment-screen immediately after he was produced - but that may be that I remember wrong or that it was a temporary bug.
Oooh, good news. Makes him even better. [e digicons]:)[/e] Thanks. Bard went from "stupid" to excellent. ;)
I designed Bard Henchman to come equipped with a horse and Belt of Speed, Ring of Embers, Ring of Life and Ring of the Glacier. The equipment added to the production cost, so it cost 337 production, 50 gold, 7 crystal, 20 fame and 1 horse. When it was produced the stupid bard did NOT have his magic items (at least I cannot see them in equpment nor can they be traded). He had a horse and normal armor but no weapon as my Sov had one for him. W
I hope your request can be solved by a mod, as I do not think this game benefits from Civ-settling. (On the contrary as some already noted.)
Good to hear about the Xp-system and it sounds correct from my brief experience. I think my heroes sometimes got more Xp when the fight was evenly matched. I cannot prove it as that would need some save-reload-investigations (and right now I just like to play the game).
Thanks Phazonfreak (And yes, rememberring many old games brings warmth to my mind - as I saw your comment in another post. I liked Master of Orion 1 and 2 a lot, Civ 1, Master of Magic. Battletech and Spacehulk for the Amiga. And I just remembered an early version of HoMM where if you got hold of a ghost, it was insta-win as it ate peasants & low-lvl-mobs and turned them into ghosts as well, 20 times stronger, hehe. And don't get me started on all MMOs I've
Really interesting advice, thanks. [e digicons]:)[/e] I usually made my first city a Fortress for the pioiner/army/building-production boost - but it seems I should think of Town or Conclave instead. The Fortress has IMHO to be placed on an at least 2-essence-site so later troops can get two magic buffs (+Init, Def och Fire attack). It seems a hard choice what to start with.
Thanks for the explanation on how land newly included in borders can /randomly/ become fertile. I found a far spot with a good 3/3/2 and settled it - even though it was far away from my capital AND had a monster camp right next to it. I was ready to reload if I awoke the monster but nothing happened. Then many turns later, the lizards finally understood they lived next to a yummie humie-town and ate them. This made the tile go from 3/3/2 to 0/0/0. [e digicons]X(
Thanks StevenAus. Next game will have that turned off in options as Smeagolheart writes. I don't like to feel stressed by time-limits in games, that's why I love turn-based.
Thanks for being open about things other game companies keep quiet about. I appreciate the info. [e digicons]:star:[/e] IMHO you and your team have done a great job with Fallen Enchantress, I deeply respect people who know their work (also knowing that younger colleagues are also needed for their new perspectives and energy).
Great advice. And interesting to read that a 3 magic schools Sovereign Assassin can also be an effective caster. Stormwatch27's post opened up an even more interesting option. 3 magic schools plus Commander will suit my preferences and playstyle perfectly. As I'm new to the game, I've only used one of the the mage's talents; Healing +50% and put the majority of points in increased Life, Air and Earth - something I can do just as well with a Commander. I want
I have to agree. Though I can appreciate some breaks in the immersion (like the summoned wolf named Anna), the slippers and lollipop were IMHO too much out-of-line and ill fitting. I want Stardock to adopt an internal no-magic-mushroom-policy!! ;) Is it possible to make a mod rename those two items? Edit: forgot to mention that I love FE-LH and generally think Stardock employees are doing a great job! The above complain is just a minor thing in th
Good advice Murteas. I didn't even know this could become an issue before Dragonspectrum wrote about. Sorry if it's obvious, but where can I see on what turn I'm playing? I think I saw some kind of date somewhere in-game, but at first glance it didn't feel as a turn-counter. But perhaps it was?
Hihi [e digicons]k1[/e] And on a more serious note, I have to tell you that I'm the one to be blamed. I'm very sorry.
Thanks again Joeball123. [e digicons]:)[/e] Good to know, this makes henchmen even better to bring along with a single-hero army (as they get the full hero share).
