Your not alone. However it wont become an issue for me before I hit around 100+ planet systems, at 250 it is barely playable. Sure hope a patch for dual-core comes out, so boring playing the smaller systems IMO :)
Well, yes. I figured piracy concerns were a given where rentals were concerned. I'm just highlighting other reasons why the parties involved would be far less likely to pick up on a rental campaign.
Why exactly ? You create a better offer than what the pirates can, ability to rent or download the game, perhaps a system like Steam. The game stops working after the rented period, and you can choose to pay for longer rent or to buy it at a discount.
What network card do you have, and have you updated the drivers for it ?
If editing was possible I would have added the player files, I missed em. However, using only the files you listed caused a crash for me, with those listed ( pluss the ones I forgot ) I did not get a crash. In both cases I added your mod on top of another.
How to: Combine with another mod Extract all files in GameInfo modified PRIOR to 13.03.2008 (2.1b) into mod-folder Extract everything else as usual into it's place in the mod-folder ( ref. ReadMe ) and textures. This should be the following files from GameInfo: AbilityIndustrialPlanet.entity AbilityNavalBase.entity BuffIndustrialPlanet.entity BuffNavalBase.entity GalaxyScenarioDef.galaxyScenarioDef PlanetAsteroid.entity<
@ StCobaltIf you increase the Bonus density to 100% then you will get a lot more bonuses on each planet. I haven't tried upping it further than that, but have you tried 150%?@ GlArchThe planet files are quite simple, there are a few things I don't understand, but most of it is self explanatory. The only thing I can think you would want to change is the Tactical slots, and thats nice and easy
Yeah, started changing pop and slots as higher damage on units means they have to
@ GlArchIf you have downloaded 1.2a then you should have a text file inside the .7z, next to the readme. That has all the files that have been changed.
I'll check it, thanks :) I haven't played around with planets yet, so not familiar with the files used. Mostly toyed around with the other stuff in GameInfo and tried to learn the different commands. Trying to make a balanced mod that increases the war-part of Sins, don't need to change planets then :)
Thought I should read trough before asking, but got to page 5 and then were close to falling asleep. If it has been asked before, sorry :) Which files within GameInfo is altered by this mod ? Trying to merge it with another mod, but having some problems.
Only thing I found working is to sit and watch the screen for 30 seconds to be sure you outbid the Al as soon as "he" outbids you. Wastes a lot of time on it though. However I prefer to let the attacks come in the beginning, just make sure to have scouts out ( or the Phase Jump monitor research ) so you know where they hit, and have your forces waiting for em to gain some XP.
The simplest way to fix piracy stop being lazy with the methods of protection. Have the game contact one of 3 servers as a check once a day even to check your serial thats saved along with some user/password. (Dont give me the I dont have internet babble) when pretty much 95% of people under the age of 50 do. The ones that don't usually cant even afford to get a game anyways.
In 2006, 694,000,000 of the worlds 6,791,000,000 people had Internet. Thats less than 10%. So y
