It would be a neat system to have. Making it as complicates as you would like would probably not be practical. But there is no reason why you could not recycle disabled veterans into civilians again. The only distinction is that you can't recruit them a second time. Assigning a separate injury to each one is something of a pipe dream in a game of this scale.

Weapon range? Well I when I was figuring this stuff out I divided them into melee, reach and ranged weapons. Reach weapons are just melee weapons that can you can use without being within striking distance. A ranged weapon is a missile attack. The distiction between those doesn't get very complicated because of how combat movement works (AFAIK). In a game like Total War it can be important to have pikes that are a foot longer than your opponents. But in a game like Elemental where mov

See they cut out the player item stash/party headquarters and made you pay for it in the form of DLC. To add insult to injury there is a quest NPC that has a link to purchase the DLC IN HIS DIALOG. And the top it all off once you talk to that guy you get a quest entry that stays in your journal that again tries to sel

Hey awesome! If you had panned the camera just a bit to the right when BoogieBac was presenting elemental you would have seen me and landisaurus.

Wished I could have said hi. But you were super busy and popping around all over the place. Still got to meet a lot of stardock people. Lots of fun.

I still don't quite get what you mean. Are you saying that we could upgrade the center "home" tile in a variety of ways? Because if so we end up with boring cities. Instead of building a city AS a fortress you end up with "a city" with a fortress plopped down on its home tile.

Sounds too limited to me. I don't want to decide between a wizards tower and a giant castle. Whats to stop me from building a giant castle and adding a wizards tower to it? It would be better if the sectors or tiles we built into cities determined thier function. A city with lots of barracks and a strong wall is essentially a fort. Also, the "center" tile of a city is considered the most important, so why not give us the ability to upgrade that tile into a city hall, castle, w

Ugh, this is where the catch 22 kicks in. Never mind what I meant to say. I have no oppinion one way or the other. Not meant to be a cop out, but there is just no way to add something without stirring the pot. Its just that kind of subject.
So basically you're saying that being a woman is the equivalent of a being a parapalegic man?
Not what I meant. If a woman gets angry at me for holding a door for HER and she won't hold a door for anyone else. Thats a heck of a double standard.

Nothing wrong with feminists. Equal rights is an admirable goal. Its just the hand biting, megaphone yelling millitant top 5% we read about in the paper that gives ALL the other women a bad name. Threre is a big difference between "I'm opening this door because I don't believe you are capable, leer leer, wink" and "Its common courtesy". I mean regardless of your personal views, you would open a door and hold it open for a man in a wheelchair. Wouldn't you?

As I understand it her argument or views or whatever is based on the fact that the game is intentionally designed to be sexist. Which it is not, at least intentionally . She holds up examples and says "oh look! here is something they used to degrade women!" Like... just look: Siege Tank "Yes Sir." "Orders Sir." (While these last two are not sexual, they give the obvious implication th

That said you have to follow the laws of thermodynamics. No free lunch. If you don't then magic would take over the world.

I preferred adamantine zerkers because they got thrown weapons. That took care of those annoying flying monsters.

Same here. I just LOVED the randomness combined with the amount of options. I remember the very last game I played... I started with no books at all and took every trait I could. Warlord, articifer, myrran, the works basically. Started on myrror with barbarians and took over that world. As soon as my economy was up I started making super stacks and trashing all of the monster dens, temples etc that I could. Super stacks without spell buffs aren't actually that powerful against stuff l
