It does work apparently. Like Netriak said you can turn it on by control right-clicking or clicking on a part of the post box that doesn't have text in it. The annoying part is that you also have to control right-click on mispelled words in order to see the spelling suggestions from firefox.

Oh whups, yeah thats what I did mean, I can change it. I need to stop posting late. Canadian English is slightly different from British English but otherwise the same.
Think of it this way. Elemental runs on building blocks. These blocks are used to build towers. Before you know if a tower is balanced or not, you have to build one. Everyone who plays Elemental gets to use the same building blocks. If we try to build a tower out of these blocks and the tower design is not balanced, then it will crumble and fall leaving us with a broken tower. If Stardock can perfectly balance those blocks then it doesn't matter what we try to build with them.
Just today I downloaded and installed a Canadian language back because I was getting annoyed at the computer trying to change all of my "ours" to "ors". So I come back here and huh? The spellcheck doesn't work anymore. I changed the language pack back to US English but it didn't help. By default the spellcheck option is turned off here and when I turn it back on from the right click menu it doesn't work properly. If I type "appple" it will get flagged but it won't give me any correcti
Having to run Impulse when you want to install or patch a game is not remotely similar to having to run Steam every single time you want to play a game. Not in the slightest.
When the Entrenchment expansion for Sins comes out I will be forced to download and install Impulse if I don't have it already, connect Impulse to the internet, log into my Impulse account, download and install sins, then download and install th
That is one problem I often give a lot of thought to. I like games to be realistic because our minds understand realistic things. The less realism you have the more you mind works overtime to understand the minutia of the system that is trying to replace it. In other words, things that make sense are easy to understand. The 50% rule simply does not make sense because why the mammoths died is not explained. If you quantify that "heat" mechanic then you can implement it in a better way
I think scoring should depend entirely on who your channeler is and what the objectives of the scenario were. Even if that objective was base survival. There are simply too many variables otherwise to balance.
I suppose given that the unit creation system is a lot like lego, making a hero would only be a matter of adding some channeler power to that hero unit. It would otherwise be relatively the same as the other units. The only real difference between mundane and hero units is an experience bar and it depends on how experience is handled.

I once had a discussion on winged humanoids. In DnD and other places humans with wings are a common feature. But in real life you would need a wingspan of over 40 feet, and that is just if you want to glide . Powered flight is probably impossible because we don't have room for any more muscles and wings can't be connected to any of the existing muscles. Of course of magic is involved all bets are off. Can't wait till beta [e digicons]:D[/e]
I got my ass kicked the first time I tried that mission. Since then I developed a workable strategy, the key is to make the enemy lose as many bots as possible to bleed him dry. Bots are expensive and every bot lost hurts a lot. It doesn't help that most of the weapons are crap. Laser is too slow, same with cannon and chaingun. Plasma is good but expensive. Burners are just a bad idea, the area of effect damage lingers and can cause massive friendly fire. What works best in my experie
One question I would have, which I guess you kind alluded to in the quote above, is at what point does a stack necessitate a supply train in this type of system?
I would say it depends entirely on the lands ability to support you. This would add tons of layers of complexity, even if you choose not to rely on it at all. So many possibilities exist that we should probably make another thread at this point. Anyhow ,ost armies would s
I can't wait to see this in action. I bet the system will have many bugs to start and while annoying at least a handful should prove to be absolutly hilarious.

Yeah, he could be a waste as he would be the only ranged guy in your whole army.. but he might as well teach you the secrets of archery, right?
Well at that point you are hiring a mercenary. The idea is to train regular troops and elevate members who prove to be extremely skilled. He could certainly teach you how to use bow
Using Price of Persia as an argument is bullcrap. There will always be a percentage of people who would not have paid for PoP drm or no, and there is also a percentage who would never consider buying it unless they get to play the full thing. I have seen people declare that they bought it just to support the switch away from DRM. Hell I bought Sins myself just to support Stardock and when I actually had time to play it I found I liked the game. Not once have I seen someone say that th
I like it. Heroes have to come from somewhere after all. You shouldn't be able to recruit archer heroes if you don't know how to make bows, let alone have a pool of archers to pick from.
You put Best Buy up there and not NCIX? Heresy.
The topic of discussion is DRM and piracy. We are however discussing a perfectly legitimate article. Bringing down the hammer at this point would only break the anvil.
I was actually talking about the initial install, even if you back up a game it still requires the Impulse software to break open the archive. And patches are another issue, I can't imagine why you would pass up on one unless it was bugged.
A group called FreeAllegiance is still alive and kicking however. I had a look but the game is a bit too detailed for me to get into.
Correction, if they make crap games and don't fix them. I have enough faith in both companies that they would never put out something that is beyond hope.
Complaining that Steam is bloated is like complaining that your locked house door is bloated because you have to put the key in the lock every single time. You could leave the door unlocked or remove it entirely, but why would you? You house would become cold and raccoons would come in and steal your cake! The man down the street with his fancy smancy keycard lock also has to swipe the key in every time to unlock his door, but he probably wouldn't refer to the experience as bloat. Its
Impulse does require you to run it at least once, which is effectively the same thing. And Steam is NOT a resource hog unless your computer is a dinosaur and or has cancer. I could say the same thing for Impulse if you turn quick-launch on.
Nothing wrong with this as a concept. You are basically turning youself into a trap for revenge purposes. This is magic power that you store in yourself and so can't use for anything else so you would have to give it a lot of thought beforehand.
There is no 'obvious how much is too much,' except for individual players. IMO, devs and critics are better off if we all focus on an assumption that underlying complexity is good but that how and when players must directly engage with that complexity is a matter of taste.
Of course. But before we ask for anything we have to be sure of what we want. Its pretty obvious that pidgeon doesn't like the idea, which is good. If he doesn
