Sins of a solar empire not found in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

I have Sins installed and can start the game. But when I try to install the patch I get the following message: [Sins of a solar empire not found] [X] The path registry value at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sins appears to be blank. Please make sure you have the game installed. This update installation will now exit. Has anyone encountered the same problem and by chance found a sollution?
