In my case, at approximately the same time as Cymsdale, the game crashes during the turn when the first pioneer has been created, very early in the tutorial. Moving the mouse cursor from my sovereign to the city crashed the game and trashed my computer by forcing it to execute a catastrophic reboot! This has happened the two times I have tried the tutorial, on the turn when the pioneer was created. My system has a Radeon HD 5870 card, with the most recent drivers. No other game that I

I have not played at Elemental during the past 10 months, and I have not posted on the forum during that hiatus, even though I have regularly checked in (without logging in) to read about the evolution of the game. I have been a faithful Stardock customer and Brad Wardell fan since 1999. My hiatus was not a negative reaction to the state of the Elemental game a few months after its original release. I sto
Start[ing] Monday, 3 new people join Stardock and are being added to the Elemental team. And two of them are pretty well known and the other is an amazing game developer that we've bee[n] fortunate enough to find.
Awesome! This Frogboy news illustrates how much Stardock puts Creativity before and beyond Business.
Buy, if for no other reason, then to support Stardock, who has a commitment to making excellent games. And they will make Elemental an excellent game.
I second that. The Stardock Elemental team is working hard on version 1.10 : it will be the beginning of the game's excellence. Most games are dropped by producers once they made their initial profits. Stardock will

Saying 9/10 games these days are broken on release is crazy...either that or just really really bad luck (or crappy system?).
I was programming DirectX test stuff on my notebook, where it run without issues, but wouldn't start on my desktop system. No error message, no debug information, it would just plain crash (and my assembly sucks, I can't debug with that yet). So what I had to do was reinstall some C++ Runtimes, even though the same version was already installed. Maybe some library was corrupt? I don't know. And that was an easy issue to figure out... still

My own is that I do not care about the whole Elemental lore -- not one bit. I am only interested in playing single-player "skirmishes" against comps. They can be Elves or Dwarves for all I care. The current factions and their lore leave me cold. (Going back to my game of Heroes of m

Its 3D graphics engine was coded by Russian developer Nival Interactive before the 1996 release of version 1.0, and I
I already have stopped playing CIV 5, and I expect that the upcoming Elemental 1.1 will be a blast. In the meanwhile ... I am playing Heroes of Might & Magic 5 version 3.1 -- available at a very low price on Impulse!
This balance thing is for folks who favor multi-player and/or want to 'win' versus an AI instead of just wanting AIs to make the Nth game you play seem new and interesting.
As a very solitary, non-multiplayer gamer, I agree 110% with that statement. I never aim to 'win' versus the A.I. As the poster states, it is all about experiencing "new and interesting" gameplay, in dynamic interaction with the A.I

I do not dare say that you are wrong, but I do hope that the Future will prove you ... right. Allow me, at the moment, to be a tad skeptical -- considering that I perceive GalCiv II as being a masterpiece.

This way, we could begin migrating back to the original concept tha tyou can build multiple buildings in a given city as long as you have the resource (available citizens) to make use of it. This encourages fewer ci

Well ... In my case, neither 1.08 & 1.08b were effectively applied.
