There are champions that boost gildar, research, improve training or construction times, some that boost the armies that they are with, some that are better at certain types of spells. And all of these things can be boosted with the levelup traits.
Just curious, but are the gildar/research/training improvements active only when the champion is stationed in the city? Or, more importanly, will we have the ability to make it that w

Sword of the Stars Complete is also on sale for $5.99. I've never played this game, myself, but I've heard extremely good things about it. And for the price of a couple beers, I'm picking it up for sure.
I'm bumping this because I completely agree. What would be even more awesome is if you could post a sample XML entry from one of the spells so that we can get a jump on modding.
+ Began work to make tactical combat occur simultaneously with the attacker getting a slight advantage (still more to do)
This sounds good! Um, what is this?
Yeah, the differences that exist are defined at the faction level and sovereign level. No innate bonuses/weaknesses by race.
Alright, so I finally broke down and played a few hundred turns of the beta this weekend, and I thought I'd share my impressions. I think that, in general, it's much easier to complain about aspects of the game that we don't like than to highlight those that we do, and Lord knows I've done more than my fair share. So, I want to say, first, that I actually had a great time playing it. All the hard work on your end has is paying off, and I certainly appreciate it. I
I can't wait to play with this and v1.3. It's starting to look more and more like that's going to be my threshold for finally jumping into the game. Also, taking a look over that spell list, it looks like you hardly owe me any credit (even inspirational credit). I'm still not a huge fan of the 4 Elements/Life and Death type spell system, and probably won't ever be, bu
If they get rid of tactical combat, what reason would anyone ever have to play this game instead of CivIV or FfH2?
Very similar to the poster above, I like: Blooded - Unit starts at 2nd level. Not trying to steal his idea, granted. Give him the credit if you go with either of them.
After all, I live in Canton Michigan but work in Plymouth Michigan.

Do you commute from one to the other using pre-industrial technology?
Or do battle with any sort of hostile wildlife on your commute? I'd prefer local population obviously, but I can live with global. I just wish people would stop talking about it like it actually makes sense.
Absolutely. I was never able to figure out how to do some of this, myself. One question, though... what's the point of giving sovereigns essence regeneration if they have an infinite amount?
Wow, this looks good. I especially like the captured lairs as an upper limit on recruiting strong creatures. Also, having modding access to the wildlands is absolutely fantastic and very much appreciated. I can't wait to get my hands on this.
I'd also be interested in this. Like kenata, I've never understood the global population system on a gameplay and suspension-of-disbelief level. I have a hard time picturing how your Option 4 would affect the feel of the game, but I'd certainly like to give it a try.
Champions will offer to join you automatically when your faction meets certain milestones
Oh, wow. I like this.
Bump! And, another request... I would like it if we could link diplomatic bonuses to spellcasting. Even better if we could attach a calculate function to the code. So... what do you say?
I've actually never played MoM (gasp!). I'd personally prefer that He keep in mind the things that made His mod successful, Amen. Like very different factions and strategic depth. Because, as far as the base for FE goes, I think that it was a decent fantasy wargame, but just doesn't have the heft in game mechanics to be a great 4x TBS. Only my opinion, of course, but the way that culture, religion, civics, and diplomacy interacted in Civ4, and thus FfH2, was exquis
Honestly, I kind of doubt that there will be 300 pages worth of stuff to write about. Not to hate, but... there it is.
I find you edjejoomatining. Not offensive. Umm... maybe there's a delay? Or my only report ever is just disregarded?
Already done. Don't worry, it wasn't you. [e digicons]:)[/e] And anyway, that's alright, it was just a thought.
I would like to make a polite suggestion that the JoeUser forum postings not be automatically posted to your game forums. Or, I would appreciate the option to disable them, if possible. I log on to this site to follow the development of your software products, and, in browsing, have often come across posts that I find to be, frankly, somewhat offensive through the JoeUser forums. True, a person certainly has the right to say whatever he or she wants in the public dom

If you go around convinced that history will not repeat itself because we have become different somehow … then you do not understand the history of human kind. You go the emotional route and bring up the holocaust and such and try to compare them to today … and you have missed the whole point. Wait, now I'm really confused (don't hold it against me, re: edukattion defessit). Most of this article seems to suggest that this tariff was very bad for the economy.
