I really hate cryptic, but I am enjoying STO anyway. Cryptic have a MMO engine, and they are pumping out MMOs to make cash short-term with no interest in long-term success. CO, STO, and now that STO is wrapping up (in an unfinished, unpolished, half-assed state) they are already working on a new MMO. I am enjoying the gameplay of space combat, but their content is terrible. Cookie-cutter boring missions just thrown in. Missi

I worked in online gaming myself, and when you get a forced refund on your credit card it is a mark against the company you do the "charge-back" on. Almost any company you do this to will permanently ban you, and I doubt they'll have any sympathy for you. As far as the online game downloads options, I've recently changed my mind about them. I plan on buying all the games I can in-store rather than online. When you have the game in your hand you dont need to worry about
I made a post like this a while ago when I was Jonesing for a strategy fix. The game I ended up with was "Knights of honor" a great blend of rts and turn based strategy. Graphics are definately dated, but I ended up putting a ton of play time into the game. Problem in the end is that the AI is too weak once you get good at the game.

Well there isn't too much to comment on yet. Right now it is like looking at a bare skeleton. It looks like the skeleton should look though, and I am exited to see it more fleshed out. Once they add some flesh to the bones and I can make out some facial features I'll have more to comment on. I've never been in a beta from this early - it actually seems like more of an alpha than a beta, but I suppose that is simply because they haven't added the features yet. The beta s
There is a lot to like about stardock - and one of the major things is how the stardock peeps are so open to communication with their fanbase. I think this connection with their playerbase is one of their strengths, helps them keep in touch with their playerbase, and is something the vast majority of gaming companies avoid like the plague. There are so many lame internet tough guy types on the internet these days, i can't blame the companies for not wanting to converse with them. I much prefe
I'm disappointed with the game too. Feels like a reskin of the original with less options (No sandbox???) Also, I found the original to be funnier and that gave it more charm.
As per title, was in middle of a game and decided to start a new one. Crashed as soon as I clicked on the new game option from main menu.
Ahh thanks. I read that yesterday, but forgot about the instructions for crash reports. I still had the files (didnt run it again yet), so I have now submitted it properly.

I'm getting the same problem.
Troll pass map icon says something like "A group of trolls have set up here to pray on travellers" Should be spelled prey. Tried to take a screen shot of this, but tabbing out locked my game.
As title says, resolution on my second monitor gets changed while in full screen mode. Causes my windows on my second monitor to move off the screen to the right, and i cannot read half of that window. Tried to take a screenshot but moving focus to second monitor causes me to tab out and problem resolves when tabbed out.
When I start elemental in windowed mode, it only takes up a small portion of my screen and I can't enlarge it or maximize it. http://screencast.com/t/GhpdWw81NMT1
I had the same thing while alt tabbing. It worked the first time i alt tabbed. Next time i did it I got same problem as described here. vista home edition 64 bit 4GB ram intel dual core 3.0 8800 GTS nvidia 640 MB ram with latest drivers.
I think the second mission is a bit too hard for a demo/tutorial and will turn off some people who didn't play the first game and are not committed to buying this one.
I agree here... I think they made a pretty big mistake by not have a difficulty level toggle for easy/normal/hard or whatever. I played the original Majesty a lot, and managed to beat the second mission on my fourth try, but I think t

Hi all, was hoping to get some help with my decision to upgrade my video card. I currently have a BFG 8800 GTS SLI enabled i bought about 2 years ago. Was great at the time, but is a little dated now. So I was wondering, I can't find a place where I can buy this old card new anymore, but should I buy one from ebay for around $50 and take advantage of the SLI thing? Or would it be better to spend a little more money and just buy a single card to replace the one i have? W
After reading about the dynasty thing, I had some ideas that might be fun. I was thinking every time a child is born in your bloodline, say they would have a small chance to become a channeler as well (say 1 in 10 chance). If one of your line was born a channeler it would be cool if you had the option to either promote him to a hero, or make him a vassal who pays you tribute and becomes his own nation. Maybe by becoming a vassal they go and create their own city and have a high loyalty to you
WoW! When beta started I was going to suggest an idea similiar to this - that your sovereign could have children and you could do some kind of quest to have them turn into heroes. But dynasties - much better idea! It is as if Stardock read my mind and took everything I ever wanted in a game! I'm getting worried that my expectations are getting too high for this one - but even if it is only half as good as it sounds it will end up being my favourite game. Looking forward to beta so I can add s
Hi all - so I haven't had anything spark my interest enough for me to buy it lately. Anyone have any hidden gems to suggest? I like things from pretty much the whole spectrum of genres, though I am kind of burned out on FPS at the moment. Lately I've been tired of all my games. To give an idea of what I like, the most recent games I've bought/enjoyed were: Left 4 Dead - loved it, but played too much and am burned out. Prototype - really enjoyed the gameplay. Fin

I humbly withdraw my suggestion to seek out Blur.
Don't worry though, we're putting A LOT of effort into what should be a fantastic intro movie...even if it's not exacly CGI.
That's good to h
