Whew, glad I found this thread. Saw the invalid thing and immediately feared that I had only paid for the beta and would have to pay for the game all over again. :) thanks for answering us panicky folks.

Is she luckier for having the horse, or is the horse luckier for having her? Interesting screenshot indeed.
Trojan Calling Strategic Arcane Knowledge: 15 (? to be determined, high end spell) Mana required to cast: 15+ (high end spell) Air or Earth (whichever seems more thematically appropriate) The caster summons a tile's entire troop roster. This army must be of the same faction as the caster, and must have not already used their own movement this turn. (Completing the spell depletes the target army's movement p
So anxious for this! :) Can't wait to see what you've got for us, in the pixels.
I think it'd be cool to integrate this into the game's UI. Just sayin' :D
Q1 2011 is still going to be there, for your updating wants. Based on what I've experienced in Beta, you're going to have a healthy fanbase behind you when you do make changes. I know it's not all going to be on the same schedule and workflow, but Q3 2010 is not the last word for your game. :)
Well I'm excited all over again. Please do release this week! I think Beta2 felt a bit too much like a step back rather than a step to the side and this might just be a much more practical way for us to look out over the game as a game and not just some little parcels. It looks so phenomenal, I can't wait. As an aside, I hope you're proud, you and the Stardock team working on it. :)
I find myself going "Bum-bum-BUM! Bududududu..." some kind of lame trumpets / drums. Sorry to fountain that unbridled artistic genius, hope you can keep up Stardock! (Awkward squirming here)
You're probably overthinking it - and it's not just you. This happened to me when I first played GalCiv2 ("Ok is this guy out of moves?" "how come he can only move once? Asteroid field? Is he gonna die?", and so on). The thing is, you don't literally, at all times, have to be "doing" anything. You can station a guy somewhere, have someone wander carefully past those hills, do a quick budget and figure out where you want your next town, whether you want it f
Just didn't have the serial yet, it arrived shortly enough. It's now "copying files" so. Essentially I'm bouncing around on my chair, hoping no one brings up what my Friday night is going to have looked like.
Greetings! Hope this helps. We anticipate Beta 2 being released within the next 24 hours.
Oh man. Thank you :D!
Kinda curious to find out if there will be an E-mail about it (since my preorder didn't include an unlock code) but, there are only so many more hours of suspense for me, then it's just gonna be a solid "next Thursday". Edit; the mail says i'll be notified & charged, but it doesn't specify as to whether that means for the beta, or exclusively for the Retail launch. Either way I guess I'm just gonna keep checking back.
On the other hand, I've bought pretty much every Stardock release over the past five years or so, with the exception of Demigod. I know I'll get a good, engaging game that doesn't need a thumbprint and a blood sample in order to use a product that I own. As long as Stardock keeps making games I like without the intrusiveness that I despise, they'll keep getting money from me.
Same. What th
Woah thank you. I've been Googling and perusing the internet over the last two days, starving for more on this game. (I'd read about it from Gamespot a long time ago and I seem to have misremembered when it was launching but became very excited that the "GalCiv2 Guys" were making a fantasy 4x.) These links definitely help. :) Edited: reduction in emoticons for the sake of consistent line breaks.
This, sir, was cruel. You can kindly rest in the knowledge that he won't have it until late Friday his time at best (If we do it tomorrow).
Good cause I've had tomorrow-people steal things from the future before. Or, after. Wait, no. Before .
I really can't wait to try this, I've been following but didn't until recently know the beta was gonna be opened for preorders. This game looks so incredible.
In a demo video released, I believe, on June 3, the narrator showed a Sovereign casting some sorta "life" spell so he could start his town into a thriving greenery and not some wasteland. I assume by the merit of symmetry in fantasy that there will be some kind of death spell like that, performing the reverse. Even if it is that limited (as in, if tile value is all we can do with life/death), it seems a likely route for both mods and possible expansions. Life and Death a

The Beta 2 Notice said late Spring right? That gives 'em one of two weeks to release it, if it's automatically a Thursday (June 21 is the start of Summer). Out of the 10th or 17th, I really hope it's tomorrow, I've been dying to try this game out.
